Democratic Socialism is just a counter movement to the Soviet Union style of Socialism, since Soviet Union and communism was the worst thing in life one point in America, socialists in America wanted to have socialism without the authoritian and Stalinist ideals. Democratic socialists feel that society can grow much better than forced collectivization and tend to support a more democratic market. Democratic Socialism is literally a more reformed and humane Socialism. So its not really a separate ideology but just a reformed way of Socialism.

Looked to me like Sockthrick asked for confirmation on two dubious videos then a couple of Scandinavians went on a rant about how stupid Youtube is as a service while refusing to watch the videos. Maybe we were reading different threads.

Apparently the "bang" in "mukbang" is short for "bangsong" which is "broadcast/stream". My recollections of getting that explained may not have led to the correct deductions.

As I understood, both watched the videos, although not throughout. I can see why seeing as I would say both know what channels have what agendas seeing as these videos are all over Youtube. I personally saw it as a typical libertarian on facebook going "Before we argue, please watch this 1 hour long video and read this work by Ayn Rand".

I will agree that I always take a complete foreigner's opinions on the events or circumstances within a particular country with a bucket of salt. Realized for myself a long time ago that there is too much to understand locally for my opinion on European politics, for example, to bear any weight whatsoever. I don't live there, I'm not especially close friends with anyone who does, I've not even visited - How could I possibly have an informed opinion?
