Not only, I have played NW a lot in 2016, it was really the best community I have ever seen
Oh agreed, those gentlemen were on another level entirely, i played only a bit of NW in the last few years since i'm more a singleplayer guy but always had tons of fun with them.

Common multiplayer wasn't that bad either, take out one or two annoying trolls and everyone was mostly having a great time, the Calradic campaign events were incredible fun aswell.

Or one/two politics experts xD

The only way I can imagine this being a friendly community, is back when the game was first release, the forum users were almost rabid against anymore form of critiquing. Saying it's "Early Access, give it some time! Stop saying it's a bad game."

Come back in 6 months and see how things are going with Bannerlord.
Done that... you know what changed? Almost nothing of value that makes it worth actually completing a campaign.

The core gameplay is still completely broken.
I have a few hundred hours on the game because the game is very grindy. I've never actually completed a campaign because the game is simply too broken for me to even start to want to chug through all the eventual lag and completely insanely retarded AI decisions.... from an AI that is being actively dumbed down from TW so it will work better on consoles.

Holy ****. In a lot of ways, performance, campaign AI and combat AI was better when they released the game over a year ago.

Sometimes you just need to take the falling star route, flash for a brief moment in your full glory and then get permabanned.

But in all honesty, OP has a point. Rarely have I seen a forum with such free and friendly discourse like this one.
The only really itchy subject seems to be wether one is pleased with Bannerlord or not.

But I have to give credit where it is due to TW here. If this was a Paradox, CA, GameLabs, Gaijin or any other game forum, people would have been banned left, right and center. Banning is reserved here for the more extreme cases only.

true that. That is why a lot of us are all here. We all know TW can do so much better, so much. And we know they appreciate our feedback. There is something holding TW back, and in my opinion is Armagan's incompetence.

That's doubtful. I don't think they like their community. At least not anymore.

Probably true, although I'd wager that it's a bit more complex than that. Something's not right with TW, and nobody probably could tell you exactly why. It's likely deeper than just Armagan himself.

You know, after thinking about it, I think we should give the apologists some slack. I've come to the realization that they may actually be masochists, and really enjoy the pain and suffering Bannerlord causes. Few a game gives them such an intense experience, which is precisely why they love Bannerlord so much and will defend her till her dying breaths.

+1 both your comments.

You can also give them some slack by calling them childish for automatically defending authority figures who can do no wrong (like children think of their fathers).
Or you could give them some slack by calling them conservative bootlickers who automatically side with authority too and are against protests and change.
Or you could give them some slack by calling them emotional cowards unable to deal with expressions of negative feelings by others.
Plenty of choices from a psychological point of view, all offensive and nasty.

This is true, this is true. I only advocate for such behavior if they display the same kind of lack of respect first. Which seems to be often with them.
