More useful for society too.Actually it's probably more fun and rewarding to drive a garbage truck.
Nothing on these forums is beneficial to society, including your critics of the forumites![]()
Maybe you've missed the 100's possibly 1000's of threads since the beta detailing every single issue with the game in great detail, but to be surprised when people give up on spending hours of their time putting these threads together without any acknowledgement or change is extreme ignoranceI'm not one to talk, given how little I actually engage in the forums, but it's really disheartening to see that in the most recent threads, there's always 4 or 5 that are straight up flaming the devs, instead of providing anything of substance.
There's not a lot of positivity when, for a year, you get stymied or ignored by the people supposedly wanting your help.I'm not one to talk, given how little I actually engage in the forums, but it's really disheartening to see that in the most recent threads, there's always 4 or 5 that are straight up flaming the devs, instead of providing anything of substance.
Thank you for the free lesson of rhetoric.
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you yourself having the same kind of reasoning?
His criticism (of OP's criticism) should be rejected because, by your lesson, you are implying that he doesn't know how to "correclty" make an argument...
Speaking of rhetoric, though you obviously have high writing skills, shall we categorize the above as an example of grandiloquance?
We find a lot of posts that basically say the same thing:
"After seeing all the criticism, I'm kinda agree with both opinions. I'm a new M&B player and actually enjoying the game. But I can't deny that it still lacks in providing its full potential. I can understand the frustration of old players and modding "community". Hopefully TW will be able to provide a polished game."
Coming back to the OP, I guess we can say that you neither need butter, neither want to drink from his skull...

If anything, all I see is crying. And Taleworlds didn't make anyone cry alone, our own expectations can take a fair chunk of the blame for that.

Maybe. Or maybe we're playing what seems like an pretty good game and we're a little surprised to see torches and pitchforks all over the forum.Kind of funny how people enter a community at its lowest point and just don't get it.
Think the game or the development decisions that led us here are alright...
First looks can be deceiving. Things are not always as they seemMaybe. Or maybe we're playing what seems like an pretty good game .
Maybe every community has parachuting smartasses that tell people to chill without understanding why and how much are they upset. Just so they'll appear smarter and cooler. There's one like that every week, this week it's you. There's always a vocal minority acting like they've been deeply and personally wronged by the developers, airing their grievances in fits of hysterical melodrama, and insisting that new arrivals lack the experience to truly feel the depths their pain. Every "community" has them.

I've got over a hundred hours into the game and I think I paid $30 for it. At the moment I'm taking a break until they fix the horrific menu lag they introduced with 1.5.9, but even if they quit development tomorrow I'd say $30 for a hundred hours of entertainment is a pretty good deal. Plus I can just revert to 1.5.8 and play some more. But they won't quit development tomorrow, and by the time they're done I expect to see a much more polished product. I also expect that 5 years from now I'll still be playing modded Bannerlord. So again, it's a pretty good deal.First looks can be deceiving. Things are not always as they seem![]()
Personally it feels different but that's just me.This isn't new or different. It happens every time a developer releases a sequel of a popular game.
True, but ask yourself why did we have those expectations. 1/ Development was 10 years long (I know they restarted a few times but it's not like they were working on other projects at the time) so we expected a decent game. 2/ They hyped it a lot, many features were announced but never implemented. If anything, all I see is crying. And Taleworlds didn't make anyone cry alone, our own expectations can take a fair chunk of the blame for that.
