Taleworlds Discord Server ??

Hey guys, i'm asking to myself if already exist a server on DISCORD of the taleworlds community. If not, is it possible to create one, without hurt the teamspeak users mind?    I'm using it much more than teamspeak, so I wanna find the way to speak with all of you there instead of teamspeak.

This is actually a very good idea, with enough support I think it could be a good place to chat with other forumites and whatnot. Discord has much more options than TS anyway.

I recently tried Discord with my TS crowd. My position on Discord is that it's about equal to Teamspeak. Its voice quality is less consistent than Teamspeak's, that is to say it seems to have less noise filtering in the client and is more prone to popping and crackling noises, but the majority of the time it is identical (Discord uses the Opus codec, which is also the best codec available in TS3 IMO). The text chat is miles ahead of Teamspeak and is honestly its most powerful (and easily abused) feature. Server location options are obviously more limited than Teamspeak, but are sufficient unless you're on the mainland east of Poland. The permissions system is less powerful than in Teamspeak, but is also easier to use. Supposedly 1-on-1 calls are going to be added which would be a nice feature, especially for a public server.

I suppose the most important feature is that it's free, but I don't see how that's sustainable for them. The theory floating among my group is that the team behind Discord is trying to establish a significant user base to increase the value of their company for an eventual sale to some other company.

I tried to try the Discord a while back. Installation failed, and it seems I am not the only one with the problem. Before they manage to make the installer to work with everyone, I would not recommend. 0/5 from me.

My favourite Discord feature is still that you can just hit ctrl+c in-game and ctrl+v in chat and instantly upload screenshots without any other fuss.
Absolutely wonderful when it's too complicated to explain something while playing.

I'd imagine that requires using the Discord overlay, though. I haven't tested that, because I dislike overlays in general.

Yeah, it lets you paste most things from the clipboard. Doesn't support webms yet, though. Embedded webms would be great.

They update very often, they are very active about making better the experience with it....
