Taking over the backstreet in a town

Hello everyone,
Did anyone of you ever tried it?
I did and i can report a bug there. When approach the thugs and start a fight with them they attack you. If you run away they put their swords back and go to their usual place and then start the fight again. None of them are moving and you kill them easy.
Otherwise you should have some companions follow you who can help you in the fight.
But after you kill them you have to wait and the gang leader gathers man to attack you and there starts the problem. he comes with 20+ men and you can bring up only 10. then they spawn directly infront of you and within 5 seconds all your men died and you are alone against 15+ men without shields or anything just with your sword.
What do you guys experienced?

I also got demolished when I tried fighting the thugs at the end. I reloaded my save went back killed the thugs and didn't wait for them to gather their men. Went back to the same spot and killed the same thugs then I waited and it was much easier.
