I remember when I went to Gitmo, back when it was the best training center for the Navy. Guys who'd just reported aboard were better trained when we came back than some members of the primary damage control team before Refesher Training. The trainers down there did nothing but train the fleet, away from the distractions of homeport. It was a hard month, but I learned a hell of a lot about fighting a ship.CounterPoint391 said:I'm back from the war. The notional war, that is. Nearly a month out in the Mojave doing some sweet engineer training, and I'm ready to see if my modeling skills went to **** or not.
Going to NTC must be like getting trained as a pitcher by the bullpens of the major leagues these days. Nine years of feedback from the field must make these guys incredibly good and incredibly motivated to teach you right.
