sword sisters vs. swadian knights

which one is better to have in your army? I tried both and couldn't really decide. Sword sisters seem faster and seem to be better than swadian knights if they get knocked off their horse, but they die more. Swadian knights aren't too fast and they just do decent damage, but they're almost never die or get knocked out... Just wondering what u guys thought.

i prefer sword sisters though, because they kill with such ease atm i got both of 'em in my party, and i can tell that especially lower-level units are slaughtered by them, whereas the knights are too.. well.. they cannot wield lances that well, let it be said

I'm always knackered if one of my girls dies. That's why having an army of knights is bascily better: you can replace the troops much easier. The death of a sword sister means hoping for a raider quest (the raiders have usualy around 20 women as prisoners), and training those peasant women all the way up again.

I like both but the peasant women/ fighter women etc are really good fighters and upgrade really quickly, even against tough opponents. If you're playing as a woman character it's quite cool to have a sword sister charging through and saving your life at a crucial moment. Makes you feel like one of them

Iunno about this comparison, because I don't use swadian knights. But the two Sword Sisters I had did survive with 14 kills (That I saw) for 3 game days, with 5 battles per day.

I like sword sisters because unless other soldiers, they have hidden boobs under their armor.
And you should know why they do not wield lances: it's a phallic symbol and they're all feminists.

I personally prefer Vaegir Knights: dismounted on a hill-top (or among horses) they seem to be a very effective anti-cavalry unit...

i meant mounted units though. Vaegir knights aren't that great mounted.

Swadian Knights.

1. They're higher level (25 v 22).
2. They have better armour.
3. They die less. I probably lose three-four Sword Sisters to every Knight I lose.
4. They always wear helmets (which is probably why they die less).
5. They're far less likely to charge off by themselves and go down when they get stuck in a knot of enemies.
6. Their horses are better armoured.
7. They're easier to replace.

Well, I'm an infantry guy myself so I usually upgrade my Swadians into Seargents rather then knights,

That said I don't bother with sword sisters, to much of a pain to train them all the way up and my seargents do a fine job anyway

I do prefer the Sisters, because some of them carry a crossbow, and the others will swing greatswords. I'm not too fond of those that always bring a silly shield and fast, but fairly flimsy scimitar to the fight.

Of course, whenever nature freaks out and I find myself facing *gasp* A FAIRLY-LEVEL, IF-SOMEWHAT-ROCKY PLATEAU, I will display (very quietly) my mysoginistic side.

Swadian Knights. Their so much hardier, not to mention much easier to come by. SS's die quick.

a note about swadian sergeants: at least the swadian infantry line a level below the sergeants have stats for riders rather than infantry-men... (+5 in riding versus +1 in athletics). i think, it's a bug... in the vanilla game, dismounted knights seem to make tougher infantry-men than "real infantry".
