Supporting Mount & Blade content creators

In today’s world developing a fan base is extremely important to an IP like Mount & Blade. The game has a solid modding community and a few good sources of good information online, such as the wiki and YouTube. With Banner Lord in development the community is starving for information and a large chunk of that community does not look to this forum for answers.
So I would like to ask TaleWorlds and the community if we can stand behind the content creators on YouTube and get them the information they need to spread the news about Banner Lord.

My vote is for X Beau Gaming. He has shown his support for Mount & Blade for years and still produces content for it to this day.

Do you as a member of this community think that the content creators should be allowed to release information and or participate in beta testing?

Are there other content creators that deserve recognition and should be considered for something like what I've suggested?

Is there any reason not to try and grow the community through main stream social media?

Thank you in advanced for the discussion and/or consideration.

This is a shout out X-beau gaming could you realise banner Lord before June 17 so beau has to buy it for me please and thank u.

t. X Beau Gaming

Pretty suspicious how all the accounts were created one the same day, within hours, and those two no-avatar accounts were created within minutes of each other.

Anyway, if TW is going to give some inside info to someone, I'm thinking Reformist and Pixelated Apollo.

The accounts are new because I was promoting the idea of this post on a live stream. So the goal is to grow the community by bringing new people from mainstream social media (that are fans) this forum.

Very. Same with the fact that all three accounts have only ever posted here.

Also, from the description of the introduction video on XBeau Gaming's channel:
xBeau Gaming is all about trying to find ways to improve your gaming experience by BREAKING the game! We explore all sorts of exploits, bugs and other game mechanics that will lead to your victory!
Yeeeeeah, no.

I'm not familiar with Reformist's work. Pixelated Apollo might work; I watch his videos now and then. He's alright. My only worry there is that I tend to find either Pixelated Apollo or DiplexHeated -I can't remember which one; in my mind they're practically interchangeable- to be rather boring. Personally, I think Malakith Skadi would be a fun person to watch play/talk about Bannerlord, and while he may not have a ton of subscribers, he did quite a bit of Warband content back in the day. Hell, if TW could get SideStrafe to livestream it, that would be cool. He used to be fun to watch, although his interest in YouTube seems to have dropped off over the past few years.

Maybe my expectations for this forum were a little but to high.

The point is that I think we should take an active role in growing this community. It doesn't matter who (if any) gets a chance to break news or participate in the beta. I was looking for a discussion not sarcasm.

In the end it was worth a shot I guess. Have fun forum I'm out.

Generally, people don't like it when you join their community in a fashion that suggests alterior motives.

To see a similar response see how people react to clans with no roots in the community trying to recruit members in the Other Games subsection.

Of course, you might have great intentions, so I'm not accusing you of anything, but it's useful to understand why many people haven't received this thread well.

Related to discussion, based on your goals, I don't see why TW wouldn't be best served by cooperating with a more well-known youtuber or streamer (if it's all about reaching the masses, might as well find someone with around 1,000,000 subscribers willing to follow the development of the game).

You come to this forum with a notion of how to create a cash flow for yourself and then are upset that we are skeptical of your motivation.  Frankly, I'm amazed.  Those of us who have been here for several years have done more to grow this franchise than any you-tuber ever will and without thought of remuneration.

I understand that I'm new to this forum but I am not new to the mount and blade community. I also am not a content creator and have no expectation of personal gain.

That being said I do have a motive. That is information. Like I stated in the original post the community (more than just this forum) are starving for information about the game.

Now information can be a double edged sword as we have seen with no man's sky. But I do think that taleworlds deserves a much larger fan base than what it currently has and information is the way to increase it.

If your motivation is the desire for information, I suggest you PM or e-mail Armagan and request it.  Those of us on this forum are as equally starved for information as you.

Ok, but then why focus on a relatively unknown content-creator then?

If the main goal is to reach the widest audience possible, then there are much better choices than X Beau Gaming (or similarly less known content-creators).

Indeed, what Ulf said.  As you can see from my sig, we have numerous streamers and content creators who are much more well known.

X Beau's new player guides are the first to show up if you search for beginner tips on YouTube. Also he is still producing content for mount and blade long after many others stopped.

But yes your right he is not well know. Maybe taleworlds should use their channel.

Sure, but if the goal is to expand the player base, it would be better to work with a content-subscriber likely to tap into a larger subset of the gaming population that haven't or likely won't seek out M&B or Warband related videos on their own.

I mean I would for example think having DevilDog Gamer, Robbaz, FRANKIEonPC, or Pewdiepie (given his recent troubles, he might be looking for some new work) cover the game for an extended period of time would be likely to reach a huge number of people that have never heard of M&B, much less searched for M&B related videos.

Wouldn't be much of a difference. TaleWorlds itself is relatively unknown to most viewers. If anything the best shot for spreading word and information on Bannerlord is E3 or any other event that TaleWorlds themselves does.
