AMD 1055T 2.8 ghz
8 gigs of DDR3
750W PSU
All drivers up to date.
Windows 7 64 bit.

Warband (steam version) up to date.
Floris mod (complete mod) up to date.
I have read the help section, bug and crash section and more.

I get RGL error, out of video memory and something to do with shaders.
I have tried.
The page file fix/VM fix.
Tried the "hotfix" dealing with the sounds. The only thing that did was remove all combat sounds, no horse sounds or weapon sounds. Just yelling/voices and thrown weapons/music.
tried both versions.
tried 100 battle size.
Load textures on demand is checked.
I have tried single threading, no rag dolls and bodies.
I have turned settings down to a point. I won't go any lower, I maintain a constant 60+ FPS in battles, I can't be running out of memory on Mount and Blade yet play everything else fine.  I have a 3 gig card with 8 gigs of DDR 3.

I normally get a crash after any battle, or upon entering a battle or the market in suno. It may be 5 minutes or 2 hours in game.

Suggestions?

Are you running steam?  If so find the steam application, right click and select "properties".  See if it is running in compatibility mode for Vista.  If so, disable that and your RAM should return.  That 1GB of detected RAM is definitely the problem.

That's your problem.  Are you running steam in compatibility mode for Vista?  Most likely the answer is yes and it is limiting your RAM to 1GB which isn't enough for Floris to run on.  Turn off compatibility mode and things should work better.

No the box for compatibility mode is not checked, I check steam (app) in the X86 folder and then I checked WB as well.

Yes.  Download the game from taleworlds.com and use your steam CD key to activate it.

It is created every time you run the game so not helpful.

I am surprised it wasn't the compatibility issue as that's been the usual cause for your situation.
 
Ok, ill try that. What about my sound. I am still missing combat sounds.

I checked again and made sure, steam is not set for compatibility mode, nor is Warband.
its very strange that it would limit me to 1 gig.

I suppose it will be easy to move my save game over? Never done that before.

the saves are in a separate folder that your new installation will recognize automatically

I just wanted to know, will you guys be fixing the problems when running the game on directx7? Like the trees of stone and swords of granite?
 
The Dx7 problems are most likely engine-based as it is grabbing the wrong textures for the wrong objects...and so may not necessarily be fixable. Wingcutangel has stated that his intent is to improve texture efficiency, etc, so it makes sense for more folks to run things on Dx9. (See the scene/graphic problem thread).
 
Aw, shucks..... My computer is really slow on directx9. But i guess the majority is more important. Any tips on how to improve my fps?
 
All the bits listed in the faq. Especially remove dead bodies and rag dolls, then set texture quality to 1% and see how the performance is. Play around with graphics settings until the fps hit becomes too noticeable.

Oh and use the alternative dust file we provide in the faq.
 
I cannot start v2.53 because of "get_object failed for texture: ext_itm_helmet_sar_t7_veiled_c_normal". I used the installer from MBNexus. What do I do to fix this?

Could you post your rgl_log?  Are you running v1.153 of warband?
