SUPER Slow

Users who are viewing this thread

When the game is about to start i get:

Warning: Nothing will be rendered.
The reference rendering device was selected, but you computer only has a reduced-functionality reference device installed.
Install the DirectX SDK to get the full reference device.

And then:

(x)    Generic aplication error. Enable
                                  debug output for detailde information.
                                  The sample will now exit.

---------------------------

In the past I installed that Directx SDK but the game ran very very slow (min. 1 minute to highlight a menu option).

My computer's name is: 805 MHz and 352 Mb RAM

*Important: I've played mount&blade before without problems.

From this moment thank you. And other day more.

Have you tried running in DirectX 7 mode? From the launcher, choose Configure. At the top of the Video tab, change Render Method to DirectX 7.

Direct x7 is a default to an old version. You don't need to "have it". It's already included with your up to date Dx9-Dx10 software. Sounds like this isn't an error of the game so much as your computer. You need to seek out a new updated version of DirectX or restore whatever it is you're missing.

I didn't know that. Anyway I neither know what SDK is. The only thing I know is that I've played Mount&blade without problems before. So it can't be a hardware problem, it's a software problem.
Anyway lot of thanks!

Now I downloaded and installed Directx SDK and the game runs very slow, (you couldn't play: 0,00000000001Fps) I think That Directx SDK is trying to fix the mount and blade performance, too much for my poor computer

Why do you keep talking about the SDK? Just download the normal version!
And if it is the sound card, then downloading directX shouldn't made any results.
How is the sound when the game runs slow? Does it run normally? Slow as well? No sound?

The sound works fine, but I read that i could be the sound card in other place.
I've Directx9a

And asking in another place they told me that Directx it could do rare things with the controllers (of soundcard videocard)

(Rare means uncommon, not weird. FYI)

You're way behind the times... that's probably the issue. Get the latest Direct X from their website.

I've just tryed with Directx redist and it is axactly the same problem. The important thing is that this problem came spontaneously ¡¡¡¡¡aadfsaaaaagrtahjaaaagrtaaaaa!!!!!

How am i the one not understanding anything of this? What makes you think i know nothing about this? You are the one not listening.
You haven't followed any of the suggestions anyone has given you, yet you say we/i know nothing. What is your basis for that conclusion?
Why don't you even try to download the latest version of directX9? (Or at least tell us what version you downloaded)
Explain why you are doing what you are, we are not omniscient. Just doing random stuff despite the suggestions doesn't actually make it easier to help you.

I've already tried everything that you told me and what other people told me in other topic.
I don't have anything against any of you, I'm just telling to Sheriff-murder that I've tried everything that he told me and he says "Why do you keep talking about this, Why do you keep talking about that?" anyway it doesn't matter i didn't want to offend you. I'm very angry because I've been at least four months trying to fix this sense it appeared.
Thanks for something, and nothing for the more

Because you're usually as much use as a fart in a spacesuit?

First thing to know, what video card is installed in the system. That's where the DX error is coming from.

Of course I'm asking, you haven't said anything. As i said, we are not omniscient. If you tried what i/we told you to try, then good! Then we also know that's not it. But we can't know that if you are not telling us!

Hey, then this old fart has gotten further than you!

In the device manager, it should be under display adapters (or something similar, i have the OS in my native language, so i'm not exactly sure of the name), which should be below processors.
