Added new rule for line infantry.

Line infantry Must be in formation in order to fire.
so charging and firing when close is not allowed.

But most of the Lines can not IMO cause they do it quite often. You are a skirmisher scum anyway so..

Keeping the realism alive, i like it

Huzzah!
The end of the infamous "Charge/Spread Out And Get Close - Fire - Charge!" has been sighted!

Does this include

- aggressive reform
- shooting as getting into line
- shooting when forming the anti cav blob
- shooting when skirmishing out to recieve cav
:?:

Nice to see the linebattles are coming back to their roots, lines! No more of this skirmish charging nonsense, I am very please! Its time for precision and tactics lads, see you Sunday!

if you are in a formation and it is legitimate, I personally see no problems and i doubt anyone else will as well.

Back in the day when everyone was playing BG2, we all used the TRR ruleset, and in that ruleset it was allowed to fire when charging, so the "roots" if linebattle is not how you think they were..

just sayin'

Once upon a time we had sunday linebattles without massive regiments skirmish charging across the map.

just sayin

MM linebattles are different, or at least they were, now they are coming back, that is my statement

QFT.

Making more and more rules to restrict things will just cause more stalemates in Linebattles in my personal opinion.

I don't really mind. Now that I can't get pointblanked it'll be even easier to cut up people with the sword in melee.

To be honest I reckon the whole line should be formed before firing, rather than half of the line firing and then people just firing whenever they catch up to the line.

Well Joshly, the original sunday LB's run by Praetorian allowed firing during charge and Lance has allowed it up until this point so it's actually stepping away from the roots if you want to be technical. In any case what i am wondering is what happens with Anti Cavalry formations? We use a loose circle and fire at will agianst cavalry and i'm not sure if that will be classified as skirmishing or not now.

I can somewhat agree with you on that and it is something i will think more about.
But for now this step will have to do.

Myeah, the only problem I see is with cavalry. Since square formations are the like are completely useless, will we be allowed to shoot at cavalry in a semi-skirmish formation, since we'll be spread out to counter them?

The 6e recieves there first and last warning for bad behavior in the form of unrespected chat. Should the Mister Yuki ignore this warning and continiue with the misconduct the 6e will be banned.
