Any chance for more banks? I can simply raid El Paso Bank, go to El Paso and sell the gold, then trash the deputies, then wait around for a week for more gold to come up.
 
I made a few ambient sounds to replace the native ones - just for fun  :razz:

Just dump them in the mod's sound folder (nothing will be overwritten).

The sounds are:
1. battle - replaces medieval swordfighting with vintage recording of Western gunfight.
2. town_loop_3+4 - Crickets and coyote howling has been added to town noise.
3. d_owl4 - replaces the owl at night with howling wolves. (there'll still be owl sounds).

Is there a way to give the player a brace of revolvers/multiple revolvers, with the player firing one, then dropping it visually, then taking another one out and firing another etc until all of the revolvers are empty, then starts the long laborious process of reloading the remaining one or switches to another weapon?

Equip 4 revolvers, or 3 revolvers plus ammo
 
However, filling 3/4 of your slots with revolver/ammo isn't exactly wise. The brace would allow the player to carry more revolvers, but at the disadvantage at being heavily encumbered and having a very slow reload.

well, we can use you for the sounds  :grin:  There are lots of things could be done with sounds. Though it is early to request support. Let's wait for the mod to get popular, it sure will.
 
I really loved the bandit factions. It gives a nice difference from signing up from major factions, which are prevalent in most mods.

I think you should add some extra options for joining the bandit groups.

- The stagecoaches between towns are very neat. But I think there should be some tie-in to the bandit factions mission wise.

- Skirmishes with the other bandit groups would be very neat.

- The possibility of robbing stagecoaches, without killing them.

- I know it's probably hard (impossible?) to implement, but when I first saw this mod and the bandits, I thought instantly of pulling a rail-heist. Getting your group of bandits together, riding along side stage coaches. Sort of like a seige. Get the engineer to stop the train, board it, blow the safe, rob passengers.
 
If possible more rifles for some of the quickbattles.  You are often greatly outnumbered and several of your opponents have rifles meaning they have better accuracy than you do.  I think the only battle I got a rifle was the wagon defense.  It is definitely needed against the confederates in the Gettysburg mission.  I'm not even sure that battle is beatable.  Along the same vein clint needs more pistol proficiency if he is going to be taking on 30 guys on rooftops all by himself.
 
Well I managed to beat McPherson Ridge on around 110 % difficulty, but yes, more rifles in quick battles would be preferred.

Well, both of those two quick battles are possible. I've played through them at least several times with victories, and they really are enjoyable at that. I don't think that these battles should necessarily be easier, as a part of the entertainment comes from overcoming a great difficulty. Now, if you want a really hard battle, try that farm raid one... that's extremely tough.
 
Can you make it to where if you decide to join the confederates you don't get a U.S. Cavalry uniform when you start? I thought it was a little odd to be a confederate in a Yankee uniform.

it kinda makes sense, since after the civil war alot of the surviving confederate soldiers became part of the union army. and this mod is a year after the civil war.
 
Allow it that when you die - you can take control of one of your companions and still be able to fight. The problem is you die very quickly against bullets (obviously) and having to restart constantly is pretty irritating (especially if you are just about to beat the enemy).

That is one of the best ideas I've heard.

I know that in The Eagle and Wolves you can play as a companion but I'm not sure if it's possible mid-battle, would be cool though.

Weapon modification. Being able to customize your guns would be awesome and it could use the engineer skill or something.
 
Ability to choose how many recruits you want from a village.  If there are 8 that will join it would be nice to be able to choose how many of those 8 instead of all or nothing. Set it up like the cattle buying.  8 available and its 15cents each, how many do you want? Something like that.
