WTF are these Ruskie lancers? Random melee weapon? We cant block with lances and this random system gives sometimes weapons like butcher knife (no-block weapons). So how will i block the enemy attacks? Ok, on horseback not a big problem but on ground? Uhhh it is a problem. I wanted to cry in here. Thank you...
 
Please bring back the noise when you get shot/killed. And the noise when you respawn.
 
I realized that when you use destructive things to blow buildings up, always the same pattern of wall collapsing happens. Also when I try to break windows, they all get broken in the same pattern too, there could be more varieties.
 
Please make artillery in general easier to aim. Maybe add a tracer-type-thing for cannons and howitzers that shows you where your shot is supposed to land? And methinks rockets are just a tad TOO inaccurate, but maybe that's just me.

Artillery was the star of the battlefield in Napoleonic warfare... Doesn't feel like it here.

Wow, I think it's so easy to aim it right now, a bit more and you will not need your infantry xd
 
I just find it very hard to see where I hit, so I have no idea at all if it was too high, too low, or whatever...
 
Everyone when in walk mode seems to walk at slightly faster or slower speeds, would it be possible for walk mode to apply only 1 speed so everyone marches in sync?
 
The removal of the single player content icon in the store page might be a good idea, or you'll get some uninformed people actually expecting a Napoleonic campaign instead of just fights with bots.

Definately not the case. Artillery requires teamwork though. You need someone spotting for you. It works really well as it is.

Apart from the *cough* melee *cough*, which i'm sure will get a seperate thread at some point, my suggestion would just be to severely lower the spectator slots on the official servers. Seen up to 20 people sitting in specs, which sucks if you are trying to join.
 
I know you guys dont like me 'cause I did'nt really like NW. However I bought it so I could see what all the fuss was about and it improved my opinion of it, and would like to put foward a few suggestions. Bugs and that I will asume will be another thread for (Ive got some screenshots of weird happenings ready for veiwing)

Suggestion: The overhead stab seems either too long range or fast. I like to consider myself a good player as I can beat most in a 1v1 but I find to die 80% of the time from overheads, Ive asked around my army core and those who have NW currently are feeling the same way.

I asume that quote supports my point although it is more about the melee in general. Unless I misinterpreted it. :smile:

* musicians/flagg carriers in commander battles
* the option to order your regiment to turn by 45° left or right and the ability to order your troops to only shoot enemys in a 30° degree in front of them
 
Please do something with the melee, it's atrociously horrible. Many attacks are so slow I had a feeling those soldiers are disabled invalids. Swords are ridiculously weak to the bayonet. The bayonet thrust can be completed even if the opponent breathes at your neck. Riposte is impossible, the flow of the duels are broken, the controls are unresponsive and the hits register late.

The melee in with fire and sword was very good, why did you have to break it?
 
A friend/group/battalion system

It happens a lot that i cannot organize games well with my friends other then using the steam overlayer, wouldn't it be a great update if there was some kind of group support so you can all join a group and then join servers all together instead of searching up through that huge list of games

I have my casualty reports off, but if I teamkill someone, or manage to get a lucky shot on someone across the map, I want to know about it.

Eh, honestly doesn't sound like a huge problem to solve here. There are bigger fish to fry, methinks. Have you and your friends favorite the same servers... It's really not that difficult.

Keep in mind the server you're on may have server lag. Personally, the combat seems fine to me, almost the same as it was in Mount & Musket. I certainly wouldn't call it 'broken' by any standard.

i think that we should able to destroy roofs or at least, make holes in them like we do to the walls

"Butterknives" are utterly useless and I dropped them in MM and I will continue to drop them until they surpass bayonets in combat. They just don't offer any advantages at all.

The soldiers did not use the short swords in meleé that often, but it served them in more common uses such as by the campfire. However they were part of the gear, and in the name of the realism they were added to the game. Making them overpowered would be unrealistic - being able to block bayonet stabs with them is bad enough.
