Hi devs, just heard there will be education system in future versions, I appricate that as it makes death/Heir system actually more enjoyable instead of just another design just for realistic:smile: I will make my point clear so it could save your time reading and considering this.

1. For player's clan, ensure new generations be better than older generation for potential

The potential I mean is base Attribute and focus points, atm started character has about 18 base Attribute points and 11 focus points(only for comparation I might be wrong), it makes even player is a sucker at the start, he will be still one of the best people in the game technically speaking, and I love this design.
So for next generation, it would be awesome if they can keep the advantage, as logically speaking player offered much better opportunity than his father can offer. So the problem is just "how better", well personally speaking , 2 more base Attributes and 3 more base focuses is a decent improve, it could be RNG as there are genius and dumbasses in the same familly, just make sure there would be more than 1/2 chances to have a "better" Heir would be good.

2. For AI's clan, ensure there are new generations have stronger Heirs

As long as AI cannot training himself as effective as player, just give random state would be fine, again like player there would be both worse and better Heirs.

3. New system "Valhalla" and "quick start of new game"

It's just like export system of older M&B series, each time a player passed, his state will be saved in a file, to record the hardwork of players. As each passed player at least costed 50+ hours of a player, even player don't use these state anymore it's still kind of a memory and a respect to the time.

Then it's quick start of a new game, that allows you skip character creation and choose a player from "Valhalla" to directly start the game, sounds like "NEW GAME PLUS" right? Actually this feature would also make started character has more reasonable state comparing with his younger brother:lol:

PS: Easteregg for "Valhalla", when your reloaded player meet his/her mate in "former" life, the mate will say " I think I had meet you before....." something like that and have higher base chance to be persuaded, it's kinda romantic and touching:iamamoron:

I like the ideas. I have posted some in-dept suggestions similar to your first idea here, but I never considered it applying to computer clans like you suggest in you second idea.

I like you third idea too, being able to save a character's "state" and have them "reincarnate" if the player so chooses.

Thanks for correction dude   Shame that I typo "state" for years, thanks to you I won't make that mistake again:lol:

I had noticed your thread which is indeed very in-depth for various aspects, hope TW could take something from us :fruity:

I like the idea, but even for education system implemented I think should there be some random choices as well... Not everyone in your generation will be better than you.. Some will be weaker, other smarter, other stupids, you got the idea.

To have more flavor in this, we could get those chances, what if you were a Suzerain honorable, genrous and valorous... But then, your heir or grandson is cruel, ruthless, coward, has less intelect than you? I think your vassals would think twice before supporting him and maybe a rebellion occur?

Just a thought.. I'm against the idea my next generation will be Superheroes better than me (on game.... ok, IRl these things happens too).. You never know for sure your descendents will be better or greater than you and that's the fun of it

Yeah I added something like you mentioned, there could be both worse and better Heirs, just make sure more than 1/2 chance to have better Heir would be both realistic and enjoyable.

You don't know ONE of your descendents is better or worse is truly fun  As we have more than one cards to choose from. My point is ensuring overall there should be at least ONE better Heir. Keep in mind it's a long term game, when you are enough to have a Heir you are very likely already put more than 50 hours in the game, the surprise and unknowning's joy will only carry a moment, but the painful of weak state will carry on all rest hours.

You played a single player game for 50 hours, and for that, you deserve a better Heir for this savegame:wink:
