Grandmaster Knight
Alright, I took a look at the new character screen that pops up when changing how your character looks, and I have to say that I don't like it very much at the moment. Before you say anything, I'm going to post my reasons. If you agree with me, then vote that it should be changed, either to how it was before, or another way you can think of.

This is why I don't like the current screen:

When you move your character around, it sometimes makes it hard to see the face

At random points, the character moves around, and this is really annoying when changing many of the facial features (such as cheeks)

Something that closely follows the above reason in irritation for me is the fact that the equipment you are holding shows up when changing your facial features. This can make it hard (or impossible if you have a shield) to see what your characters head looks like from behind.
Personally, I don't fully hate the new screen, and I see some ways it could be saved. If the character is prevented from moving, and if the equipment is not shown while in the screen, that would get rid of a lot of irritation. I like how you can zoom out and move around to get a better look, so I also wouldn't mind if that stayed as well. However, something has to change in it, because it is not very good (in my opinion) at the moment.

New screen? New since when? It's been like it is currently for as far back as I can remember. And you can always take your gear off before you make changes.

What? It wasn't like this in Mount&Blade...

Or are you talking about as far as Warband goes. If that's the case, then I was talking about Mount&Blade, as you can probably guess by now.

And you can, but I can easily see how a person could get annoyed at having to take off all their weapons whenever they want to alter something. What I was thinking about was making it so that your weapons, shields and such don't show up, like how it is when you go into a lord's hall. I figure it couldn't be that hard to change (as they already have it with the lord's hall, like I mentioned).

Even with that out of the way, there is still the annoyance of the character swaying back and forth. Although I figure that can also be solved easily, just have it where the character doesn't move.

That's not the case. What was the last version of the game you played?

And how often do you really want to alter your appearance anyway?

Er, I just started testing single player for Warband, but even if it has been this way the entire time (which I don't really care if it has or not), that still doesn't change the fact that I find it annoying. Unless you mean Mount&Blade in general? If that's the case then I've been playing since .731. And I can assure you that it was not like this in any version of Mount&Blade that I have ever played (.731 on).

Quite often, actually. I (and I'm sure others do as well) often go back to change something that I don't like. While playing, I might see something I want to change, so I go in and change it. Doing so now with weapons and shields covering the guy while he randomly sways makes it slightly harder to see if I like what I'm changing.

I kinda agree. I mean, it's nice and all, but it might be nicer if he'd stay put. It definitely IS different in 1.011 than in Warband, though.
