[Suggestion] Lancing too easy?

It's called Mount&Blade, not mount&lance, also the 180 degrees of stabbing is rediculous.

Proposition:
The faster you go, the smaller the angle at which you can stab your lance.
(Think about it)

Another few cons:

It takes lots of swings to kill an enemie's horse while you yourself are a sword &board cav (Especially if you hit them in the shield)
Lancers do awesome damage against horses as well.

I think it is balanced now.

I play cavalry and infantry, so having played cavalry, i know how they work, thus i know how to beat them.  The main thing people get wrong is trying to beat a lance with a spear (which can be done but it is hard) they need to use a lance, pike, awlpike/long awlpike.

I have seen some newbie cavalry and they are easy to beat, but when fighting a good cavalry men, they are hard, but infantry can still beat them (one of my favorite ways it by stand next to a wall, then sidestepping there thrust, and hit them while they go by, normally from behind)

Anyway, in DM cavalry are hard to beat, but thats because the way the game works (which is how it should IMO) the way cavalry were beaten in real life was by mass infantry formations, which works (i have seen it done) in battle or TDM modes, but in DM everyone is against each other, so no infantry will be working together, which is the best way to beat cavalry.

Thats my thought on it.

Yes, but this is a game, it should be balanced, there's no way beating a lancer without a spear and terrainial advantage(Unless the lancer has no brain and doesn't keep distance)

Jumpslash wtfpwn?

Or maybe, just maybe, work on your situational awareness.

When me and my mates play together in battle, we keep tabs on the horsemen so we know where they are at all times and don't get backslashed. It can be done by yourself but its a bit harder so stay near cover so they can't come from all directions.

I think cavalry is fine the way it is. I'd like to consider myself an advanced lancer. Even a complete noob with a spear can be a headache to fight sometimes. Yeah, most of the time I can do the charge, turn left, poke right tactics and kill them. But they still have potential to kill me. Also, any experienced spearman can kill a cav easily. As for couching, I don't actually couch unless I think they're very low skilled or running away. Trying to couch an experienced fighter is a waste of time as its very easy to either jump in front of a horse and get run over (Which does very little damage as I use a courser) or jump out to the side of it. and ....I don't know if its just me but I don't think cavalry are too quiet. I always hear them running at me a good 100 yards away and I don't think I've ever been killed by a cavalry by surprise. Maybe my ears are just a bit more tuned for that specific sound horses make?
