[suggestion] Khergits need an infantry unit. Sorry if this has been mentioned.

LOL I think you are mistaken if you think Khergits can defend the Village.  If they can't attack it successfully, what makes you think they can defend it?  They can't.

I don't know, I've been on a bunch of pretty successful Kherg teams defending the Village, and had a decently easy time of it. Everybody just has to be dedicated to shooting, and shooting well, and you can't have too many lunkheads with a hardon for melee or 'honorable dueling' going off and getting themselves gloriously killed on your team (which my hypothetical competitive khergit team obviously won't)

I dunno. never seen that happen.  I always see the opposite, whether with players or bots.  Then again I can't play every game and lately it is a hit or miss on whether I can even get in on the battle server.

Well do we all agree though that Khergs need a little work so they an compete on all the maps along side all the other factions?

basically I'm assuming a competitive clan match goes like this:

round (1) Field by the river: overwhelming khergit win
round (2) Snowy Village: easy khergit win
round (3) Village (attacking): khergit forefit, loss
round (4) Village (defending): khergit win
round (5) Ruins: easy khergit win
round (6) Castle Siege (attacking): khergit forefit, loss (why waste time even playing it)
round (7) Castle Siege (defending): 70-30 chance of winning
round ( Ruined Keep: 70-30 chance of khergit win

That's 4 pretty easy wins vs 2 sure losses and two 70-30 chance wins. I'll take khergits under that match structure any day.
That's no way near what would and already do happen, a well organized team can use infantry with spears to keep the lancers at bay, then have crossbow men or archers to take out all Khergit horses, after that, Khergits are dead. And that could happen on a relatively open map, where there's protection the Khergits have even higher odds against them.

I believe Khergit's should not be ignored! They need a infantry class, or... just give them better athletics.

The only idea I like is the mounted infantry.

Khergits without horses are not Khergits.

Yea mounted infantry with just 2 riding and 4 athletics is probably the best way to retain the khergit flavor.  They would be the weakest of infantry and would hopefully have access to good throwing weapons.  Maybe their top armor should be something similar to the vaegir's 35 defense studded leather armor(not in looks though).

EDIT:  Actually no they should have the khergit Lamellar Vest.  It's in singleplayer and it looks cool similar in defense to the haubergon.

probably true,  a mounted non ranged non lancing khergit would be really cool.

Why? because he will suck donkey balls? Come on people, mounted Khergit with low athletics, power strike with throwing weapons is not gonna work.

A mounted Rhodok is Rhodok? Or a mounted Nord is Nord? You are all so happy with mounted class additions to your kickass favorite factions, why not give Khergits a chance?

The benefit of mounted infantry is it will allow them to strike quickly.  They have to be individual weaker than other infantry because they have the advantage of a focused attack anywhere on the map.  If everyone was mounted infantry they could hit you with 20 guys anywhere all at once.  This is a huge advantage.  I thought about it and the devs have created a new version of the khergit lamellar vest.  This would be perfect for these suggested infantry guys.  It looks really cool too.
And I just noticed that the nomad robe is unused.  A lot of khergits used it in native.  The infantry could get this as well as the leather vest.

Yeah they can strike fast and go down faster. :S:
You are aware that all other factions have mounted infantry with better stats then your suggested khergit class right?

I would make the mounted infantry powestrike and ironflesh identical to rhodok sergeant.  Only better throwing skill and possibly jarids and a two handed or bastard scimitar.  This would be balanced by worse shields and the slightly slower foot speed.  They should be a situational unit mostly effective when the enemy is camping, sieges, or village and other close quarters maps.  Make them too good and they will completely change the khergit's style and make the faction too strong.  In an open field battle mounted infantry should not be effective.  They should have to be protected from archers and cavalry.  If the khergit did get mounted infantry the lancers would probably lose the maces and axes.  I don't personally think infantry has to happen for khergits. I do decent as a dismounted lancer I love the axes.  But if they did get infantry this is how I would like to see them.

Actually...
I am not, I would prefer it if the factions had all kept their unique flavours.
