[Suggestion] Keep Money and others

Hi all, pwmod is the best mod of M&B. Someone suggested to fuse cRPG and PW, but new players could be in trouble due to powerfull players. But there is a problem. Earning money takes very long time and, when a player leaves the game or crush, his bag is reset. So, you can give to players the possibility to keep money after they exit from the game, and maybe their equip too.

Another suggestions:
1) Possibility to change armor in-game.
2) Add more weapons vendors.
3) Add npcs near the vendors, in the town and in the start village.
4) Some shared casket wich in ppl can place weapons and other usefull things for the kingdom.
5) Periodic tourneys with inscription.
6) Possibility to give money to players (maybe by an interface like warcraft 3).
7) Savage animals around the map that can be killed, skinned and eated (though I think that it's not possible).
:cool: Bandits party (3-4 npcs) owned by computer that attack players around the map.
9) More type of weapons.
10) More objects (doodads/enviroments/things I can't remember the correct word) in the map.

I would definitely like to see persistent money in the same game session - I hate disconnecting/crashing/accidentally hitting alt-x and losing EVERYTHING.

If people kept all their money every game, we'd lose the level playing field the game offers us every time the map restarts.
 
Yeah it is quite annoying when crashing or having to leave when you have wicked armor and weapons and a lot of money and then you come back and all of it is just gone.

:cool: I like it, but what happens when they die? do they respawn, how powerful are they?

:cool: Mhm.. they could spawn around the map (but not in the start place), maybe from the forest and attack random objectives. For example they could attack the tavern and take it's control, so the players should take it back, or the village, ecc.. other little parties of bandits could patrol the forests, the roads, or asking for money to pass (dialog). I don't know if it's possible, but you can create some (unassailable) bandits recruiters in the cities and in the tavern that allows players to join the bandit faction (changing so the armor), maybe completing a quest (for example hunt and kill this player/npc). Bandits players could gain money killing other players. Thereby weaker players need to ask to powerfull players their help to be escorted, and in change they could give them some money.
 
In version 3 laszlo supposedly added a bank system where you could withdraw/deposit money from, he could possibly find out a way to keep the money deposited even after you log off.

That's not quite how it works; there is no storage location, you've either got money in the counter, or in a physical form.
 
Yes I like many of those ideas. Changing armour without dying + a shared faction chest most of all, or even the ability to store things.

I think that'd be really cool. It'd entice more coopertaion amongst human players and destroying a groupee of thugs would be immensly satisfying. Since they're just computers, humans won't get too pissed off as they have brains. I'd love to see this implemented.

The problem with bots (as I tested it earlier) is since it is essentially FFA they instantly kill eachother on spawn.
 
Is it possible to have the bots spawn in universal faction 2, with and have the option to join universal faction 2 blanked out because you set the max amount for team 2 at 4? Since they'll be on team 2, you can script team 2 to not attack each other but all humans will be on team 1.
 
1.Make Castle=money Area.This means all those who are inside Castle and stay at some point in castle/market get xxx gold per 1 min,or get this money as long as they are Bindet to that castle(look at #4). So you will make Castles more Valuable for People. And other people(civilia,bandits) can still gather money/Food( look#6) trought mining and fight agains Bandits.
2.Give all people who joins Game,or Dies some Weapon (exmpl.Wooden stick,sword) well which could`t do much agains better armed enemy but atleast would give you some Hope,and could give a chance to win if grouped with other "Naked"Players.
3.The Better Weapon should be in Castle armory,so it gives again more value to the Castle. And lets say Blue Castle has best Swords,but Golden Castle has Best shields. So you will have also the need to conquer others Castles.
4.If possible add a Faction Option so what people can see who is Friendly,add some Bind stone to Castles where People could bind them after conquering the casstle and respawn there until other faction conqueres and binds them self.
5.Team Chat if possible,alredy includet in crpg mod so you could just take it from there or ask.It would be really Nice.
6.For all those who sits in castles ,make somthing like food need. Like in Single player Army consums food and can also conquer so the enemy castle, if they don`t have enoght food they need to go out. In this case add some food line,if those Line is empty or lower then 25% the Main Gait of Castle opens automatical. The food should be selling at Middle of the map on the field or elsewhere,so Castle owners could Hire Civil people to bring them those food into Castle.The Enemy Team would have then also another Strategy way to conquer Castle by Killing these Food Transporters,so what Owner would need to send troops to protect them.
I know it`s a bit hard to make,and will not always work as it should ,but I think it`s not a bad Idea.
7.Add some cart,siege item which works as a spawn point for owner and consums also food or somthing like it to work. This would be useful for conquering enemy Castle by moving it to the Target and Spawn there (Because I gave a suggestion to let People Spawn at their Castle Stones,else it could do a Disbalance)


I will add later other suggestions if you like those.
 
Try spacing it out after each number , so its not just a big wall of text and it might be readable.

I whole-heartily agree with this. I tried the Mod yesterday, and it is a great Idea and I really do love the concept, but Its not very persistent. If PW had the same type of system as cRPG where you could log into a site to keep your money / gear / stats, and also level up, I think you would have a lot more people coming to this mod. That would also eliminate the time limit problem as well. And to the problem of new players having problems, I don't see how that is any different from any MMO, and they seem to do pretty well.

It just seems that Its not worth the trouble to spend all that time getting my character together, just to have it delete when I log off, when I can just pop into any other server and be good to go right off the bat.

Just my thoughts on the matter.
 
Well isn't that how cRPG failed? I mean, from what i have heard. Noobs have no chance, the Veterans dominate the servers, and it is becoming the ultimate downfall of it.
