[SUGGESTION] Hotkeys For Inventory Slots

Although I find that the scroll method of selecting weapon slots is useful, I have been in multiple situations when I have needed to select a weapon 2 slots away, and the time that it takes me to do so usually results in close calls, and sometimes death.

I propose that there should be definable hotkeys for the inventory slots, so that people can instantly select a weapon. If a shield is selected, it puts away/equips it, if its a weapon, it puts away/equips it. Simple.

They we could get rid of all the extra buttons like sheath weapon, since you could just use 1-4 to toggle your weapon/shield.

Those are already in use though, can numpad keys be differentiated from normal number keys? Then it might work, dunno if M&B can be played on laptops but most laptops don't have a numpad at all.

Possibly to issue commands you need to use a key + the numbers wheres just pushing the numbers would be the 1-4 hotkeys?

No one have any opinions on this? IMO Warband needs it.

It would definitely make things a little easier, that's for sure. The only thing i'd be worried about is unequipping your shield in the middle of a fight on accident, but I guess all that takes is getting used to using the hotkeys.

Sounds good to me, however the only time it would make much difference is when you have three weapons (not including arrows).

Its kinda for those that use 2 slots of throwing weapons as well, as you need to scroll through both stacks to get to the next actual weapon (this never made sense to me either, it should probably be changed.)
