[Suggestion] Horses (and other animals) to consume food

Currently, it's too easy to put thousands of horses into inventory that it's kinda boring. I think that, it should be a kind of mini challenge to be able to have so many animals in our inventory.

If a horse to consume 1/10 of what one troop consumes, putting 1000 horses into 100men army would consume double amount of the food, and that would be a mini challenge, this could make animal management more excited. Horses would only consume lowest value food first.

Oh please, no. Food management is not difficult when you are at the stage of having 100 men and 100+horses. All this makes me do is wasting more time buying all the food in the cities. Let horses graze all that delicious grass like in real life.

Maybe for winter or snowy/desert areas you could add that mechanic, but I fail to see where it would improve anything other than being a chore.

Edit: Although it would be quite fun to slaughter some horses and make them eat their fellow's meat.
The enemy is arriving? Meat is on the menu boys, let the horse cannibals lose!

I could agree with this if you didn't need horses to level up troops.

This is a reasonable suggestion. In this case, food consumption needs more balancing. It needs to last longer.
