[Suggestion] Friendly Fire does less damage at closer ranges

FF is basically there to stop you firing arrows into crowds of melee fighters, but sometimes you will simply be unlucky and some dumbass will walk in front of you as you fire. It'd be nice if FF did little or no damage at point blank, but ramped up to full damage as the distance grew, after about 4/5 metres it would do full damage.

Basically you would still be penalized for firing near friendlies, but you wouldn't take as much damage from people walking in front of you.
 
Wouldn't that encourage firing into a fight when you should be drawing your sword and joining it?  Personally I think the solution to ff is to set it to shared.  When it is on shared infantry try not to get in the way and archers try not to shoot them.

Agree. In clan matches, I imagine the damage friend setting is preferrable for clan games, but for public, shared should make everyone careful.
