Hi,

has anybody tested to use LAA = LARGEADDRESSAWARE  in Mount&BladE?

It could probably solve the problems with crashes I read in this forum.

I got several crashed on large battles (I use BattleSizer). Since I reduced the rag dolls and corps to 40 (instead unlimited) and reduced the BattleSize to 140 (Battlesizer),
the game crashed less often. I play under vista 64bit, 8gb, Radeon 4870 1gb, Quad Core Q9550.
I use GraphicEnhancement mod and play SwordOfDamocles. Error message is "Mount & Balde stoppped working", occurs only in Battles and Sieges.

I will test LAA later and report again.

Cheers Pak

Ok I tried to enable the flag "app can handle >2gb"  .
unfortunately it doesn't work.

it says the file is corrupted - typically concerning the copy protection.

I hope the developer team will compile the next version with extended virtual address space! PLEASE!

- after playing this game for a few hours, i'm starting to get a few lock ups. system reboot kinda thing.

- i remember with Vampire Bloodlines, adding more memory to Window Page Filing worked with it to avoid crashing and lag. dunno if it will do anything, but gonna have a look around for some tweaks that can be done to stop these crashes.

"Ability to run existing 32-bit applications (.exe's) and dynamic link libraries (.dll's). A 32-bit program, if linked with the "large address aware" option, can use up to 4 GB (4,294,967,296 bytes) of virtual address space, as compared to the default 2 GB (2,147,483,648 bytes; optional 3 GB [3,221,225,472 bytes] with /3GB boot.ini option and "large address aware" link option) offered by 32-bit Windows. MOUNT & BLADE is currently NOT LINKED with large address aware option, means it just uses 2GB.

Hey developers, give us a new compiled exe please.
