I first say i has not tested warband.
But as it is possible to Pick up weapon from battlefield.
I would say a hard hit at a enemy possible a Cavalry charge would be a small Chance that the enemy lose his weapon. This would disorder a unit some seconds.
And also want to suggest a small item all soldiers should be able to have a small dagger/knife
ore will it be to mutch?
