Seems we don't have a thread for this game, which is a pity.

The presentation in the first link is the best way of describing the thing, really. It's a game of high-tech thievery and espionage, in an extremely detailed, yet randomly generated city. It's being made by Introversion (the chaps that made Darwinia and Uplink).

It looks very promising - I mean 30 to 50k buildings for one thing , though it sounds like it will be very hard to master. Despite that, I'll be sure to keep my eye on it.

I was interested in it until the words "stealth", "espionage" and "theft" came into it. So it's going to be a ****ty Splinter Cell / Thief cross then.

Is it just me, or do Introversion's games get progressively worse as time goes on?

Nope, this one looks quite interesting to me, has absolutely nothing to do with the games you mentioned in terms of, well, anything. The setting and the mechanics are quite different.

Not from what I remember reading about it a while ago. It seemed more focused on foiling or hacking complex defensive systems, and you control multiple characters.

This game looks like fun. I just hope they let us rig explosions and stuff to enter the vault.
