Thanks again. One last quick thing I just want to ask about. Regarding tweak that makes militia drop off prisoners in fiefs, are they supposed to drop them off right away and resume patrol? Been playing around with the tweaks to see which work for 3.8, and with that tweak they go into the fief and never seem to come out. I was wondering if they are supposed to take a while to drop off prisoners or if they should be coming back out right away?

"By default, your existing renown is divided by the 200, then the result is subtracted from the original renown gain. For example, if you won a battle with a renown value of 15, and your character already had 2000 renown, you would only actually get +5 renown at the end of the battle (ie, 2000/200 = 10; 15-10=5)."

Regarding the second tweak...

Surprisingly, it seems winning renown in PoP doesn't diminish when already having much renown, so no need to worry about that.

It does indeed not reduce, because of the prestige mechanic.

I know, I always make backups before I test any of the tweaks. The one which allows you to give orders to militia works, but I don't think the one that makes them drop off units at towns is working unless it's supposed to take a while.

All right, the following instruction explains how to add a Mettenheim NPC to the tavern of Valonbray who will offer Mettenheim troops and arms weekly as described in my post before.

!Important!
This tweak has been added to the unaltered 3.8.4 version of PoP. If you already changed anything yourself this tweak might not work!

Just follow these 7 steps and there should be no problem.

1. open troops.txt and add at the very end of the file this new troop:

7. increase the first number in the file (3882) by 22, making it 3904 and save the file.

If everything went well, you will now find a Mettenheim Captain/Merchant in the tavern of Valonbray.
Note that during the first week upon creating a new game, no items and no troops will be offered, you will have to wait 1 week for the first shipment to arrive.

To an extent, this tweak is even savegame-compatible. The only problem is that the NPC's inventory will be small and he will be naked, but still, starting a new game is advised.

If you have any questions regarding this tweak or suggestions how to improve it, please let me know.

That's great to hear! And yes, as I mentioned, this tweak is in fact savegame compatible with only minor drawbacks (Mauritz being naked for one). In my tests, he had only a very small inventory of items when applying this tweak to an already existing save but anyway, congrats for not having that problem

As a King you can add troops to your Vassal's garrison. Is there a way to tweak it so you can take troops too?

I just want to do this because one of my Vassals has two of my own Lords Prisoner and I want to get them out. If this doesn't work, making it so I can remove fief ownership will probably work too.

I copied and pasted the militia stuff at the end of dialog_states. When it says subtract 1 from each, does it mean,

TO

OR

and when it says increase number at very top of conversation.text by 6, does it mean (3882 + 6 so 388

?

Hmm, I haven't tested militia patrols in that regard so far (I don't have much time to play atm)... But I just checked some .txt files, and this tweak is missing indeed, although I'm not sure why

The changelog says otherwise (for 3.8 ):

-Leonion Tweaks from this list (1, 3.1, 3.2, 4, 5, 11, 20, 25, 26, 29, 30, 32, 33, 35, 38, 40, 42, 43, 44)
