Structural ****... O_o

Users who are viewing this thread

Sorry but this is really a Big **** on the forum ?!!!

I think a reserved part for the comment of new version, with separate topics (like graphic, gameplay, balance, etc...) should be helpfull...

And for the rest...
A lot of people don't take the pains to read previous thread,
that seems for me at the minimum to do.
Want they just to let them "little word", that's it ???
:???:
It 's really, really boring...

Yehrom,

Ingolifs made the comment about the cake because he did not understand what you meant. Not an elegant way to do it ... but we are talking about Ingolifs.

I have tried piecing it together (your meaning) several times ... and I am still at a loss. Could you possibly re-state your meaning?

Thanks,

Narcissus

I *think* he's talking about making seperate forums for the discussion of the latest versions.

He is also saying something to the effect of 'people shouldn't post their own comments until they've read others, done search and stuff'.

@narcissus. Lol. you however, just contradicted gonZ, who said that I had a way with words. But i saw that wink, and i'm interpreting it that you mean it seriously.

Okay, sorry again for my english.
I 'll try to do best...

Since the newest update,
the forum is "encumber", I mean this is the good word,
by a lot of topics that speak about the same things, everyone in his corner.
That generate a "flood" of new message, without interest.
(Sorry for their autors, but that's it).

Since people seems not able to have the minimum of respect to read topics before answer,
or look at news,
or too use the search option,
maybe create a new heading, include the differents stuffs of the game,
will be usefull to clarify a bit the situation.

Besser this time...?

Thanks for that! I understand what you mean quite a bit better now ... and you are doing quite well with English. Keep trying!

The forum does have topics that discuss the same things as other topics. It is virtually impossible to stop this from happening completely, though.

Your idea of creating a new area or sticky thread (or many various ways of breaking it down) are valid ideas but they just won't work. Many people have a very short amount of time (due to work, children, school, or whatever) to post their opinions and cannot afford the time to read every post/thread first. Others are just lazy and do not care or have respect enough to read what others write. There are several reasons why people do the things that they do, and the only way to stop them would be to ban them and/or lock way too many threads and/or generally offend a huge portion of the forum's population as well as potential customers.

I understand that it is frustrating to try and read the forum and face the same topic in several threads ... but with a forum this size (and growing) ... there isn't much more that can be done.

Try and be understanding and remember that everyone wants to have their opinions heard,

Narcissus

Sure, it is.

But there is a minimum, in my mind.
Using the search-option is not often effective,
because a lot of thread (all I have seen) go quickly out their initial topic.
So, I understand that people don't use it generaly.
But have a look at lastest threads don't take a lot of time...

Particulary when a new version become,
everybody knows that reports about her features would arrived.
Maybe a synthetic thread made by a reliable source (moderator)
will avoid this.

Second point,
the matter that some people doesn't take the time to read a thread, before participate...
that, I can't understand.
I regret cannot translate, in french we call that : "Foutage de Gueule..."
..."without respect for other". ^^

I understand what you are saying, I really do.

The synthetic thread idea is a good one ... and to some extent, is done here.

There have been several 'all-in-one' types of threads ... many use them and read them ... many use them but do not read everything in them ... and some just do not use them. There is only so much that can be done about stopping people from not using threads like these ... without alienating a large portion of the forum's population. You can only delete a person's post or move it a few times before they get irritated or mad or furious and lose their temper.

This forum represents a business ... and it is bad business to alienate even a small portion of your customer base.

Your second point I understand and to some extent, agree with. The people that do not have time to read everything in a seven page topic before posting, I can understand. The people that do not have time to read through fifty topics, I can understand. They want to participate and be helpful ... so without reading everything relevant to their topic ... they post. Very understandable. Irritating maybe, but understandable.

Narcissus

"Understandable"... yes, it is.
I understand your mind too.
Sondern, don't want to legitimate this behaviour.

If I want say something about a thread,
I take the time to read what's people before,
(I speak for once topic, not about the search cmd)
else I keep this for myself.
Like you do everywhere in real-life

Yehrom, if you think your English is bad, you should see my French
