Stretched Image Problem

Well, it sounds like it is definitely something on your end.
I checked through Opera's standard settings and could find nothing which might cause that.

Are you behind a router, or are you directly connected from your computer to the internet? If you're using a router, it's possible some settings in it are causing your problem.

You might try installing an updated firmware version for your router if one is available on the manufacturer's website, and/or checking the firewall settings for it and increasing the number of allowed connections/sessions/"incomplete packets" or similar options.

Actually, another thing to try would be to lower the number of connections Opera tries to use.
To do this, go to Tools->Preferences in the top menu, then go to the Advanced tab at the top of the window that pops up. Choose Network from the left menu, and then lower the values for "Max connections to a server" and "Max total connections".

Hilarious smiley glitch with new Opera (9.50)

I'm using Opera 9.25 and I have never seen any stretched or squashed images so it's most likely something that has changed in the latest versions.

No, I had the same problem (but worse) with 9.27.

I was given an advise:

I haven't done it yet  I've just hoped that new version will cure it

I know this may be simple, but have you checked your page zoom level? 110% can make images look stretched. But I checked the network settings on advance tab and they didn't changed from 9.25 to 9.50.

I'm now using 9.50 and they seem fine so far.
