does increasing strength increase the damage you do? or just your hitpoints? i have 30 strength and since my weapon draw and the other ability that increases damage by 8% per point are capped at 10 i was wondering if i shouldnt bother increasing my strength anymore for damage increase

according to the wiki, strenght shoudl have effect only on the archery and throwing (and it give you 1 more hitpoint), so no melee damage.

Though I do feel as increasing strength increased my melee damage too.
Could just be a placebo effect though..

No it does affect damage.  My mod has troops up to 220 strength.  They almost don't need powerstrike to one-shot you.
But at the 30ish native standard high value its not that great an effect.

Thanks for clarification,I suppose I knew it was this way deep down,because I remembered I once pushed a char up to 50k str and 50 k agi just to see what happened,he teleported to the other side of the map with one keystroke.And yes,did insane amounts of damage.
So agi increases running speed too.
