Strange armour... Again.

It's been a while since we had a strange armour thread (0.890), so I think it's time for an update!

The scenes from Tihr and Rivacheg have changed only slightly changed if any since version 0.890, so you'll be able to find the chests in the same areas as in that release, and you'll be able to find the locations for those areas via the search button (just search 'Strange Armor') or clicking this link to my post  : http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,26488.msg728001.html#msg728001

As for the Rhodok towns, they have been edited significantly since version 0.890, with the paved ground etc... I got bored yet again today and decided to look for the strange armour in Jelkala... Of course it wasn't there (Why else would I make a topic about it?). Yes, I have searched for any type of container or chest in edit mode and the results were disappointing. All chests in Jelkala have vanished. But there is still hope! If are as bored as me and/or want the strange armour ALOT, then follow my instructions carefully:

1) Open the Mount&Blade menu but do not select 'Play Mount&Blade'. Click the 'Configure' button then the 'Advanced' tab. Make sure 'Enable Edit Mode' is ticked before proceeding to step 2.
2) Play Mount&Blade and ride to Jelkala!
3) Take a walk around the streets.
4) Go into windowed mode (Alt + Enter or Return) and enable edit mode (Ctrl + 'E'). If Ctrl + 'E' doesn't do anything, learn to read and return to step 1.
5) Learn to use edit mode if you don't already know (Click 'Help')
6) Now, pay attention: Create a 'chest_a' and play it somewhere accessible. Any other chest WILL NOT WORK (apart from perhaps the containers, but I haven't tried).
7) Close edit mode and press the 'Action' button (Default 'F', I changed it to 'E') on the chest you created to view the contents of it. There you should see a 'Strange Sword' and a pair of 'Strange Boots'. Take them and enjoy your samurai.

Alternately, download the item editor, find the missing pieces in the item list, tick their "merchandise" checkbox, and buy them in a shop.

You'd need to start a new game though, wouldn't you?

Nope, you just gotta wait like a ingame week or so then they start showing up since the stock of the merchants is changed.

Ctrl+E doesn't do anything.
But the edit mode is ON.  :???:

What does do when I click Ctrl+E, exactly?

Wow, nice armour. Got the helmet, armour and 2 swords. i'll try and help you find the others

So you gotta cheat to get the full set of armor and swords now? I mean really?

Why the hell?

technically its not cheating. i mean the chest is meant to be there so what greenguy is doing is... well... putting it back where it belongs. Back in Jelkala.
