'Storing' Units

Started out as a question which I have answered myself. One of the major hold backs in M&B I found was the inability to have your troops 'camp' or just wait somewhere. I have the income to support 2000+ but nowhere to store. Which means frantic recruiting when I finally take a castle just to hold it.

I found that you can store infinite on ships though they do not heal while there.

While some people may find this a gamebreaker/unrealistic I like it. I see it as your troops waiting in a town down at the docks after a campaign. To the Floris Team, is this going to stay as a permanent feature?

Ah excellent that would be really good. I don't mind the method I'm using just now because its balanced in that I have to pay full upkeep costs. I see it as my army on leave staying at the city.

The player shouldn't be capable of running around with 2k upgraded troops as it is, that's just ridiculous. Even with the most profitable enterprises in every town and max land in every town I don't see how you're capable of affording the weekly cost.

Max loot skill, max prisoner skill. Running about with Vaegir infantry and manhunters and capturing everything I see. Rinse and repeat.
Then sink everything I earn into land. You earn 10% on what you invest. I'm currently generating about 50,000 a week not including enterprises, so it's a doddle .

See I don't think that they're overpowered. I think if you had fewer manhunter parties but travelling in significantly larger number parties then it would be much better.

That way manunters would actually stand a chance against big bandit parties, instead of running about in their piddly 30 man squads when the bandit leaders are travelling about with 1000 behind them. Bandits then wouldn't capture manhunters so much therefore they wouldn't be free for the player to recruit. Then they would actually do their job of clearing the countryside of the damn bandits.

Then again how large a party is too big? And if you make them too small the leaders will just eat them. I'll leave it to the Floris team, they've got the most professional and well done mod i've ever seen in any game so far. So they won't go far wrong.

Kinsume is right, manhunters are VERY overpowered. For example, slaver chiefs have level(and required experience to train) as T6 units, while being actually stronger than some T7 units. Which means that you can bulk train T7 units technically for free.

Also, markswomen and Viragi are too strong. Their tier is actually 5, but apart from bow with cutting damage they have same skills and proficiencies as T6 archers.

Overpowered because they are much easier to train up than regular faction cavalry.  They also give prisoner management bonus and have blunt weapons which make them a prisoner factory for easy $$$.  Manhunters are so good that it's the only cavalry, or only troop even, that the player will use until much later on in the game when he has plenty of money.
