Still can't swim

Wrong, witches float. Like a duck.

Yeah, but you forget the chainmail! I´m pretty sure, ducks (and of course whitches) in chainmail would drown if they just rely on their floating abilities. You know, like sharks will just sink to the ground when they stop moving. ?

Amphibic landing of Vlandian sergents against Battanian Champs... I am sure it goes well. Something doable doesn't mean something practical.

If you want to place your Robin Hoods into the lake that might work to some degree though. Then again elevation would be better in the scale of real armies, not in guerilla or bandit warfare.

Noone said it needs to be possible with armor though, it could be possible to swim in civil clothes or without clothes only.

When you develop features that nobody will ever see or use, it's just a waste of time and manpower. It might satisfy someone's fixation, but that's all it will do.

I am glad we have so many historical experts here

Impressive.
What happens in full armour and clothes (boots, gambeson, etc.)?
How long can you swim?
What happens to your weapons?
Was swimming a common skill in the timeframe of the game?
Why would you want to go swimming in the middle of a battle?
