Deckbuilding is seriously one of the best things about Wargame.Wellenbrecher 说:Maybe I didn't pay enough attention so far, but I saw Paradox stream announcement just now which had the menu in the background.
Looks like it's going to have some deckbuilding ****e in it.
Aaaaaand I'm out. **** that.
Almalexia 说:Man, doesn't take much to set you off.![]()
As opposed to say CoH2 or Starcraft where meta units do not exist at all. Btw, the same deck thing is in every Total War game. Anyway, I would even claim the contrary - deck building and especially specialisation of decks allows you to build your strategy around units that would never get used if there was no deckbuilding. Of course you need to understand the mechanics to build a really competitive decks. But people do not play with competitive decks only, even in ranked. But yeah, to each his own and all that.Wellenbrecher 说:I just don't like deckbuilding games, not fun to me. It invites and requires too much meta nonsense.
I am not a fan of the fact that T-34s are pushed to tier 4 buildings while the PzKpfw IV still sits at tier 3. I am not a fan of the fact that the Russians, Americans and British have to do an upgrade (costing ****ing fuel!) just to unlock using ****ing hand grenades and to unlock buying infantry squad weapons while the Germans don't. I am not a fan of the fact that US and British infantry squads have to walk back to their base just to pick up some weapons (meaning more micro management) while the Germans can simply unlock them anywhere in friendly territory. I am not a fan of the fact that Russian elite infantry is only accessible through certain commanders (and not both Guards and Shocktroops at once, you have to choose) while the Germans can just train their Panzergrenadiers without commanders. I am not a fan of the fact that T-34-85s and any Russian heavy tanks are only accessible through certain commanders while the Germans can just get their Panthers without commanders. I am not a fan of the fact that the firing arcs of the German machineguns are much wider than those of their allied counterparts, making micro-management of their machineguns and locking off areas for infantry much easier for the Germans. I am not a fan of the fact that Germans get late-war hand-held AT weapons while the Russians are stuck with 1941 junk. I am not a fan of the fact that the Germans can train machineguns (and ****ing Kubels) earlier than the Russians. I am not a fan of this so-called "balance". **** this game.BenKenobi 说:You are not a fan of the cancer general and his Boforses?
Very well, then please trust me when I say that infantry game is hugely imbalanced in favour of the Allies; the only part of this field where the Axis excels is Wehrmach AT infantry. Every other unit has an Allied counterpart that is stronger and more cost efficient.Captured Joe 说:I tried, honestly.
