Surprise visit, found a computer. Still is MIA

Vlad's awoke waist deep in water, he was naked and chilled to the bone. Even his eyepatch was nowhere to be found.

He was in a room with white marble walls and a single small hole at chest level. He swish-swashed through the water to the hole and peered within.

What he saw was a man staring directly back with sickly-sweet smile, wearing an Empire Officer's Uniform.

What the bloody hell was happening?

Everything was set and ready when Carter's call came through the tube, it sounded odd but Krush knew that was just because of the tube. "Aye!" responded krush via the tube and he went to find the Captain.

Carter heard Krush's voice through the tube, the pipe slightly warped the engineer's voice. He then continued to organize the crew as he awaited the captain.

Bart decided the sun was high and the wind was good enough to set off.
"Mr. Carter if you would be so kind as to get us through that pass I would be much obliged.  After we make it through the pass just follow the river for around 5 hours and we will reach Tarpin. In the mean time I will get to work on patching up those arisacs."

Carter tipped an imaginary hat to Bart "Aye Aye" he said then turned to the rest of the deck crew "RAISE ANCHOR!!" he yelled and then spoke through the pipe to Krush "Fire it up mate", moments later the ship shuddered and began soaring again.

The command came, "Weigh Anchor!" The deck crew went to the steam and manual capstan, and utilizing steam from the boilers and man power, the capstan lifted the great anchor up. The deck crew then secured it. Ludwig went below deck to help shovel coal.

As Arthe lay on his bunk, the call came to weigh anchor. He leaped up and climbed through the bulkhead into the boiler room. Krush and Ludwig were hard at work in there, so he climbed the ladder onto the deck, and set about patching the holes in the outer shell of the balloon. The thin metal skin was rusting in some places, and there were small holes where the wind had ripped through when they where high in the mountains. He started applying the paste that would re-vitalize the metal, and hopefully, add strength to the skin. Pirates were common in the mountains, and he was scared that they would have an encounter. Who wouldn't be...

The infinite redoubt handled beautifully, which was vital for what they were about to do. Carter turned the wheel slightly as he navigated the mountain pass, constantly vigilant for pirates or whatever other shady characters they may encounter in this part of the world.

Jeff got up and cracked his knuckles. He was bored so he decided to shovel some coal. He walked into the boiler room and grabbed a shovel.

"Nothing like an honest day's work."

His back cracked a little as he shoveled slowly, keeping a steady pace as not to waste any coal.

One Hour into the Pass

Bart was busy patching up the airsacs for most of the morning when he decided to head up on top of the balloon to have a look at the path ahead of them.  He smiled contently at the wind blowing through his hair and the greatest sight he could possibly see.  In a flurry he was off of the balloon and down in the helms room.

"Mr. Carter I must compliment you on your fine piloting and I wanted to give you the news in person. It appears that there will not be attacked by pirates in the pass this morning as I can just see the very edge of the fields beyond it, although I won't rule out the trip over the loden fields but we should be there within the next four hours."

With that he hurried out of the cabin and down to his locker to make sure the papers were in order for their speedy arrival.

Ludwig had taken off his coat and uniform, and was wearing a boiler suit and apron over his shirt and trousers. He was also wearing his gas mask and gloves, to protect him in case anything exploded or burnt him. He was raking out the ashes of third boiler when he heard Arthelas enter the boiler room, but concentrated on it. Ludwig was constantly checking the valves, in case they blew. Ludwig finished raking out the ashes, and another stoker was pouring water on the ashes and coals that had been raked out from the boiler. Ludwig then continued to stoke the boiler, and the other stoker went to stoke another boiler. Gah, I forgot how tedious this was.
