Just a note: We (me and Raven) were planning on waiting for more people to join, as the plot we have sort of figured requires it.

Name: Ludwig Alexander Ironbridge

Age: 32

Role: Combat Medic/Marine

Description: A tall man (6'2"), wearing a black and dirty morning coat with an armband with a blue star of life without the rod on his left arm, wearing a military uniform underneath. Wears an apron or reading glasses at times, wears a kettle hat, and sometimes wears a gas mask when operating primary weapon. Occasionally wears a greatcoat/trenchcoat.

Weapon: Improvised Gas Operated Repeater Rifle: Incredibly prone to accidents and faults, optional gas canister on back, 10 round magazine, scares the life out of anyone near it. Falchion. Satchel bombs. Commonly uses a pistol and the falchion.

Bio: A veteran, serving at least ten years in the army as a shock trooper and a medic, Ludwig was out of a job after the army looked for young men. Having a Physician's Degree, Ludwig spent his apprenticeship tinkering and making mixtures out of chemicals. As a homage to his teenage years, during his employment, Ludwig built a repeater rifle he designed himself, and carries around satchels of dangerous chemicals. Simply light the touch paper, hurl it, stand well back and shove your fingers in your ears. Despite all of this, Ludwig had spent a few years serving in the Army's Airship Corps (i.e. the Marines), but mainly served as a foot soldier, fighting and patrolling the landmasses. and is a good medic. Some of the bombs have metal shards in them, and as they explode, they send metal in all directions. Ludwig has attempted to make incendiaries and smoke bombs, but currently only a weak incendiary grenade is at his disposal.

Other: Can scuttle enemy airships.

"Well my good man I hope you get that pack of yours under control by the time we set off, just talk to my compatriot and I am sure we can accommodate you."

If we didn't make it clear earlier, there really isn't anything below the sky (worth the fall to discover).  Imagine huge floating rocks making up the landmasses and such.  This allows us to accommodate giant metal-clad ships floating through the air.  Just replace the oceans we have today with the clouds and sky.

Here's my application, I've been active on forum RPs for quite some time, If you want to see some of my writing check out the Zion strain Roleplay. I have a question though, is there any sort of dog fighting aircraft in the steampunk universe? Biplanes or anything of that sort.

A young man approaches the table, nods politely and begins filling out the application..

Name: Jacob Carter, or J.C.
Age: 18
Role (We may change later): Pilot.
Description: A young man of 5' 10" with scruffy mid-length black hair and blue eyes. He wears a long sleeved white shirt with a vest over it, formal pants, and lace-up boots.
Weaponry: His primary weapon is his skill with aircraft but for personal protection he carries a switchblade which is tucked into his boot. He is also well versed in hand to hand combat and has a silver tongue (Meaning a gift for talking his way out of trouble)
Other: Carter spent his early years aboard his older brother's airship, the ship was the family's legacy and served his father well in the military. As he grew up J.C. learned to pilot a range of aircraft and navigate his way through various weather conditions and other more human dangers (Pirates). When he reached 17 years old he decided to try and make it on his own however a run of bad luck forced him to join the wrong crowds and do things he wasn't proud of. Carter has just recently decided to turn over a new leaf and so has applied for honest work.

"Well Jacob, we don't have any smaller craft than this at the current moment in time but who knows, as our business grows and expands we may have room for your unique skills."  "Just fill out an application with Arthelas and we may be able to set off once I get all the papers in order."

"I'd be glad to help in any way I can, I have some experience with larger aircraft such as yours and I'd be happy to demonstrate my piloting skills..and please, call me Carter"

The young man bowed slightly and smiled "Ofcourse, I shall not push the subject, I would simply be pleased to be out in the open air once again"

I'd be happy to let Incaa pilot. Also, later into the RP, there probably will be the chance to pilot something similar to planes, mainly in combat situations.

I was thinking once we got all the formalities and history or "The Papers" as Mr. Bartholmeu so eloquently put it we could get started in the next day or so

I'd like to join, if thats ok. Filled out a form, but not sure about Role.

An elegant man in a pinstriped suit and navy topcoat strides briskly up to the table, “My dear gentlemen, I am the Honourable Eckhart von Helmfried, swordsman, traveller and man of commerce. I would find myself much honoured if you were to allow me a place on your good ship, the Infinite Redoubt. I am a man of many talents, and will happily avail your good sirs of some should you see fit to employ me.” He pauses, and glances around slightly nervously, “I must also ask how soon your good selves wish to depart? For I would be most grateful if we left sooner, rather than later. Also some discretion over my presence would be most appreciated – I fear there have been some, frankly, unreasonable misunderstandings between my Honourable self and some of the good people of this city.”

Name: Eckhart von Helmfried

Age: 26

Role (We may change later): ?

Description: A thin, elegant man of around 6 foot, von Helmfried wears a lightly pinstriped navy suit with a matching waistcoat. Underneath he wears a pure white shirt, with a golden-coloured tie. Over the top he wears a long navy topcoat that reaches down to his knees. His face is long, narrow and angular, his eyes dark blue, and his hair mousey brown.

Weaponry: A finely decorated and expensive looking rapier and a stiletto blade hidden inside his waistcoat.

Bio: A nobleman of dubious rapport. Von Helmfried claims to be a master fencer and swordsman, as well as being an experienced traveller and negotiator. There is, however, an odd lack of evidence to collaborate Mr. von Helmfried’s claims, indeed, apart from the Honourable Gentleman himself, no-one seems to know any other von Helmfried’s…

Other: von Helmfried seems to have the remarkable ability to rub shoulders with people from all social classes, be they priggish gentry, or down-at-heel soldiers.

"My dear Mr. Eckhart we would be more than happy to have you aboard but you must either be able to help keep us going or be able to fight. As for your other question we leave at dawn on the morrow."

Ok, I'd say we definitely have enough people to start this up.

Just for formalities I'll do a more detailed Character sheet.

Name: Mr. Bartholomeu
Age: mid 20's
Role: Merchant Captain
Description: around 6'2" very gaunt in figure and sporting rather thick but well trimmed sideburns. Wearing a fitted suit of an unknown material and origin with a slight green tint meant to repel most daggers and small sword blows.(Severely undertested)  Also wears a tall top-hat made from the same material as the suit. Carries a can with a crow's head as the handle (secretly a sword). Also carries a long dagger and a single high calibre single shot pistol with him at all times. Unfortunately he cannot aim a gun for two squirts of oil so he only fires it at absolute point blank range.
Born as a street rat he spent his life peddling food and weapons that he stole or made to other street rats and whoever would buy them. Would buy and sell anything he doesn't specifically have an interest in for the right price but wants to lead a more honest life than in his past. Specializes in haggling and navigating.

Yeah we all seem to be pretty fancy talkers which I think could add some awesome, awesome (yes double) situations for us.

"My dear Mr. Eckhart we would be more than happy to have you aboard but you must either be able to help keep us going or be able to fight. As for your other question we leave at dawn on the morrow."

"Top hole, my good fellow! Rest assured, you will find my rapier almost as sharp as my tounge."
