Savage 说:A steam engine goes on water and on something that heats the water up - boils the water, create steam, the steam then moves the parts (steam is hot and warmth goes up.) Most power plants use this function.
Uh... wait what? There are two versions. One in which pipes of steam are pushed through a vat of water, and then the water is heated and turned into steam, and then there's the opposite, pipes of water are pumped into a furnace, which is heated. The latter is used today, because the former has a big chance of blowing up. Also, AFAIK, most clean power plants now rely on the motion of something to basically move a copper coil around a magnet.
Anything out of this world? You havent even decided if it is on Earth or Calradia, and the steampunk version of it. Who knows, in steampunk Calradia there maybe are these "aliens" (Ok, not aliens, but spooky creatures dressed in black and red-glowing eyes. Maybe they are robots.)
I said no. Dear god.
Exoskeleton, sounds like something from Stalker or Fallout. But whatever, if you make it of brass and lots of gear wheels and pipes + rust, then it's ok. Btw, I vote for Calradia (or a completly new world.) If we choose this world, it wont look like it anyways.
I distinctly remember seeing steampunk clockwork exoskeletons, plus there's Kingdom of Loathing. I'm thinking a toned down version of the clockwork man in Rise of Legends.
Those "aliens", or better, robotic creatures, could be something that the steam-engineers invented and it rebelled against them (hah, like terminator.) the steam-enineers did fought them off, and they now travel everywhere, attacking merchants and adventurers for spareparts and oil (lol!) Maybe you can meet nice ones, that you can hire as heroes in taverns at the rebels (not at the engineers, they banished them, and maybe not at the aristocrats, coz they... are like they are.) Then they can have their story, and maybe not red eyes but blue (lol. I, robot!)
No. See above.

Why not have a Snake Plissken setting: The swadian military has turned Praven into a giant prison.![]()

Zilberfrid 说:have you read Girl Genius (www.girlgeniusonline.com) Apart from being hilarious, it might do you good in this mod...

Tuckles 说:I wish. That game is awesome, and my noobish prowess would just defile its greatness. I am getting inspiration from it though, no worries there.

Savage 说:But you really wanna copy something that already exist? I think it's better to do something of your own, Tuckles.Nice hats you made, btw. Yeah, you need googles and monocles!
M@ster-$ 说:My choice was obvious
EDIT: Ideas for hats...
1. Chapeau of Magnetic Inversion
![]()
Love it! Top Hat with magnetic device
What's the point? x_X
2. Goggled Helmet
![]()
Well, it's helmet with goggles attached. In original they were worn by pilots, so I'm not sure...
Ah, the hat of a working man.
3. Miner's Helmet
![]()
Aye, there should be Miner's Helmet in Steampunk Mod (Industry)
The blue collared labourer, he is incomplete without this.
4. And of course different Medieval, Renaissance and Industrial ages hats, helms and helmets
Why medieval and renaissance? I'd think those weird hats from the renaissance age would be phased out by now.

Deviation of incoming missiles (arrows and bolts with metal tip, gunpowder from firearms, etc.). This would need additional scripting though...

There could be different Knight Orders in the mod, like Templars and such. They were known to exist even in the more modern times.
