Steam Achievement with Modded Game

I knew that activate the cheat checkbox on the game launcher may stops the Steam Achievements.

I just wonder, what if i use mods or just modify some of the value in item_kinds1.txt ? is the Achievment still can be done, or it just the same as activate cheat?

I think it would depend on the level of modding, but in general modding should not affect achievements as far as I know.

Achievements are coded in scripts and mission templates.... unless you edit them, you should be fine. Some mods (actually a lot) don't have achievements, so you can't get them.

so it will be fine if i edit some value like item price or item stats?
coz reaching achievement sometimes sucks if we dont have enough money
