alright i did a search and couldn't find anything. but it was mentioned you can steal horses...how?

e/ i also need some help...some times when an arrow is fired, the game freezes for a second. is this normal?

If you mean stealing horses on a battlefield, you can mount a horse if you have killed its rider. Some enemies ride horses and you can also get those as loot after the battle.

Post the specs of your computer...maybe its a little slow?

so you can't steal horses...or anything for that matter, from a say merchant?

my specs:
amd athlon 2600+ 2.1
512 mb ram
ati 9800 pro 128mb

good enough?

Nope, at the moment its not possible to steal things from merchants.

Hmm...your computer should easily run M&B. Are your video drivers up to date? Or maybe its a bug/glitch that will be fixed in later patches. So far I have had only one CTD...thats really good for a beta.

My only problem is a bit of random fps drops when there's a few horses on the screen, mainly just in the tournament.

mike- you probably saw the thing about "stealing" horses when you got a quest from a Count asking you to bring him some horses. You can't actually steal anything, he just says it for atmosphere. These factions are desperate for those amazing saddle horses, you know.

i know where the salt mine is. ;) thanks.

e/ and besides borcha, whoelse is a hero? and where can i get him?

Marnid - he is in the tavern of Zendar. There is also a mod that allows you to recruit one of the gladiators in Zendar, but I don't know if it works.
You can't recruit any others currently, AFAIK.

Ulyoath, i also have some fps drops with horses. Not in the arena, but in larger battles. Especially when they're traveling through water(30fps or so). I've also noticed that units on the other side of an obstruction (like a mountain) still hurt your fps. Perhaps a few changes to they way units are filtered could alleviate this problem. Here's my specs.
Amd athalon 3000+
512mb RAM
radeon 9800pro

So, it really shouldn't be lagging me like it is. I mean, when you're getting around 200fps, and all of a sudden it drops to 60 when you look at your units, its noticeable. And no, i don't have any viruses/spyware, just formatted less than a month ago.

well, mine's not really a good comp, but I just thought there shouldn't really be any problems.

I've got an Athlon 2400+
768pc3200 DDR RAM
Radeon 9200SE(what's really killing it)

But soon I'll be building my new computer :)

That'll be

Athlon 64 4000+
1gig of RAM, maybe 2
Geforce 6600GT, possibly a 6800GT if I get some extra money by then.

It does work and you can find it here about halfway down, it allows you to get Kradus as a party member.

Much better, thanks Gilglaurad.

Thanks.

On topic again...

In a battle against mounted units, I always save the horses, but I never, or nearly never get a horse afterwards.

And slaughtering Dark Hunters doesn't bring anything at all, I usually get a broadsword or something useless, looks like my party forgets they're wearing ****ing black armour! Had to have that said. :)

I agree, the only thing I've ever gotten from dark hunters is a balanced sword of war and I must have fought parties of 40+ dark hunters at least 20 times. I've received the occasional saddle horse, but nothing that makes it actually worth fighting them. Except that balanced sword of war. Man that was good loot. :)
