It's seriously concerning how low down custom servers are on the to do list. This should be the number one priority. I'm a big critic of the combat in this game but it's more important than that. Without custom servers the scene will slowly die. I hope Taleworlds reconsider this. Not only is it catastrophically bad from a "competitive" Warband players perspective in terms of tournament organisation, even for casual players custom and modded servers were usually the big appeal.

They havent finished it and i dont think they will till its out of ea, hopefully they have a team dedicated to it while they fix their own servers but i highly doubt it.
 
Appreciate the Communication and agreeing with everyone who posted regarding combat, basic balance and core mechanics needs.

In the situation you currently are, I understand fixing tech issues and game breaking glitches is a priority, but after that fixing core mechanics should be a high priority above other minor ones that you listed. Hope that it gets attention soon!
 
Very glad that we got some more information thanks for that.
I have to agree with most a lot of the other players that Combat feels wonky. So I hope that work on that could fit the term of "balance" and that we can see some changes in the future.
And similiar to Charlini, I agree that stability and bugs have to be priority.
all in all a good post and I hope that we will get more informative threads like this one.
 
Nice to know what the Devs are working on, but all of the issues that seem to be coming down the pipeline don't mention combat, which many people agree is semi-broken, and worse than Warband. Rather would have serviceable combat with a couple cheaters than no cheaters and horrible combat.

It's just that combat is what is on most peoples minds right now. Do you think we can expect a post similar to this one regarding combat at some point?
 
Appreciate that Taleworlds finally communicate with us on what they're currently working on, though I'm disappointed to see that there are no plans for combat. There have been many posts about combat being bad and how to improve it, so I hope the devs will write a similar post and communicate about their plans on the matter as it's a top one priority for many people.

Well, take a hint. The main reason other than custom servers and clans why people are still playing Warband MP, 10 years later, is because the combat is fluid and skill-based. This is very important for Bannerlord MP as well and that's why you will see combat related posts on everything Multiplayer. We really want to know what's going to happen with that because atm it's neither fluid nor skill-based.
 
I understand combat mechanics are not in your workflow. I think other developer teams should communicate with us as you do.

So when is it going to stick the Statement Regarding Plans For MP (COMBAT related)-thread where the devs related to the combat system talk about it?
I do not want to seem rude or discredit your work, however articulating a word as far as the combat system is concerned, is much more urgent than anything proposed here.

What about the other questions? Custom servers, server size, game modes, etc?
Also, the dev who made the post said: "We are planning to periodically release Balance Patches to adjust the gameplay to make sure that the game is balanced and enjoyable."
How is that unrelated to combat? Are they only going to look at troop cost and perk selection/equipment stat? Because if MP is being balanced without taking combat changes into account... I wouldn't want to be the dev responsible for those balance changes, let me tell you that.

Extremely important point. There's no point tweaking the stats of a spear or the cost of a class when some core gameplay mechanics need reworked completely.

May we have the devs who are working on mp combat design so we can ask them what’s planned ? Or will they be active on forum here in the future?
