Starting your own kingdom, help please

So recently, I started my own kingdom, the kingdom of the crystal lulz (yeah, I'm sorry >.<)
its been going... decently well, and I have both durquba and Shariz, as well as all the castles in between,
My current force composition is around 600 sergeants, 600 sharp shooters, 30 slaver chiefs, 100 mamelukes, about 100 huscarls from my time as a vassal of king ragnar, and a smattering of other units

The problem is, though, I am currently at war with both the sarranid sultanate and the Rhodoks, and I am... vaguely winning, meaning both my sarranid and rhodokian troops have roughly -99 to their morale....
Since I've noticed people in castles don't desert, all of my castles/towns have roughly 100 each of sharpies and shooters, with my mamelukes stuffed in caraf castle

So currently my only useful forces are my slavers, which are.... difficult to get, and huscarls, the villages of their origin being on the other side of the continent...

Another thing I've noticed is the fact that troops desert only in evenings, so I've been wandering around with my companions, wait till evening passes, grabbing out troops and doing hit and run attacks on the lords trying to raid my villages, before hightailing back to one of my castles

While this works perfectly well for defending, attacking... not so much
I've already checked it out, and all the castles bordering my little nation requires siege towers, meaning 2-3 days out in the field, after which I would be lucky to have half my army left...

Another problem is ending these wars
I've read about doing "war damage" to their villages in order to force a peace, but thats honestly not a possibility for me, as I had painstaking increased my reputaion with the rhodok villages, (all of them are 20+), so I would very very very strongly prefer not to raid my source of troops...

Currently, I have been using a mix of rhodok sergeants and sarranid mamelukes to knock out an entire enemy army (I use pre battle o&d) which I proceed then to recruit (hey, my guys already have terrible morale, why not?)
Another question is, do knocked out troops that I don't take prisoner rejoin their faction? because if I take on an army of 300, knock out 250 of them, and only 50 get taken prisoner, will those 200 make their way back to veluca and rejoin King Graveths armies?

Also, Shariz has been under siege for about 2 weeks now, constantly
The sieging army is some 400 men strong (down from the 1200 is was previously), about half of which are sharpies and sergeants, and they've just been camping around my town for a fortnight

The problem is, I can't take a force that size on the open field, but they refuse to attack my town, and while they're there, I can't go on the offensive, less he decides to lift the siege and go raid my villages instead
in the long term, if I can't take them out, they might actually succeed in starving shariz out o_O

This is fairly early in the game (300 days?) and I made my kingdom accidentally, meaning I don't have particularly high renown, honour, or right to rule =/
so how do I get lords to join my faction?
I don't exactly have the time to travel the length and breadth of calradia, begging lords to join my cause, because I have to stay at home defending my territory...

also, I heard making your companions as lords is a bad idea, because they all have tiny groups, and none of my companions have particularly high CHA/leadership]

Thanks =]

Make one of your companions a Lord, you can give troops to them. Then dump in a few hundred elite troops, make him follow you and attack with two groups. You should be able to get rid of the siege force that way. Proceed from there.

Peace will eventually follow, when one of the other factions gets another war on their hands.

Currently?
I'm playing at 76%, everything hardest, except auto blocking (still can't get the hang of that )
and 150 troop cap cause my comp can't support anything higher

thing is, the rhodoks are already in a war with swadia, and though I haven't been keeping track, when I read the factions thing it says the rhodoks are getting the worse of the fighting against both myself and the swadians....

As for the companion lord thing, will a companion lord ever defect me?

Also, siege finally broken, and having risked a run to the nordic lands, I now have 150 shiny new veterans being oh so very slowly turned into huscarls =]

Yes companion lords can defect, if your relation with them gets low enough.

I also suggest only making the ones who are of noble birth into lords... if you let the others in the club then other lords kinda get all pissy about it.

Also, if I decide to give my companions, lets say rhodok sharpshooters and sergeants, will those troops desert him due to our... -99 morale hit?

I nearly craped my pants.

That is by far the scariest army comp i have ever thought of.

Holy ****, are you sure your eyes still adjacent to each other?

problem is, that force is spread out among like 2 towns and 6 castles
I've never been a fan of having low tier troops in my castles, so all of them have @ least 100 sharpshooters + 100 sergeants

On another note, how the bloody hell does one take the grunwalder and the one attached to saren?
I've tried siege both, and one look at the bloody map made me give up
grunwalder requires you walk like a kilometer up a hill, to a single ladder where you are instantly flanked,
and the one attached to saren seems to let you into the base only to say "I'm sorry but your castle is in another castle"....

Edit: I made matheld a lady, and now she runs around with the 400 sergeants + sharpies I had loafing around
problem is, every battle she insists on using her nord huntsman and trained footman rather then the sharpies and sergeants I spent so long capturing and releasing

in other news, theres not much quite as satisfying as seeing the message "50 rhodok sergeants have agreed to join you" =D
