Starting Again After Long Break

Hey guys, I've taken a long break from actually playing Warband but now that I'm on Christmas break I'm interested in sinking a few hours in.

My question is what play style I should go for to help me getting back into the game. In the past I've played as a Horse Archer, just general knight, foot soldier, etc... Just looking for your guys input on the best play style to go with for getting myself back in.

Horse archer is probably the most fun but you could try something completely different as a high INT party skill type. Very, very effective but maybe a little boring since it emphasizes party power over player power, meaning you don't get to kill so much yourself; you are a support mechanism. Not sure if it would be appropriate since you're just getting back into it, but I really enjoy playing as a foot soldier with an all foot soldier faction like Nords or Rhodoks.

Appropriate or not that's what I'm currently doing. Only issue I've had so far is that some Swadian Sergeants I picked up early in the game seem to have less trouble staying alive than my Huscarls do.
