Any1 got any ideas what men are best for ship battles?

Im putting together a small force of medium men as a core for a force of archers and then mostly outcast warriors and scots that im collecting up 2-3 at a time from running between my 2 sets of land.

I keep letting the scots and outcasts fight then i drop in support 1 side and recruit 2-5 of the prisoners then get them some beer and sit in town a little.

I mostly meet Frankish and Dena raiders at sea and they're immune to archers, since they all have shields.
Best to have good infantry. But otherwise archers are good before the melee phase.

Im putting together a nice army from bandits and prisoners lol.

Ive got 8 bandit leaders and 8 young warrior who were prisoners.

Then ive got 25 various medium infantry from prisoners plus 2 slave traders from upgraded young warriors and 8 spys i caught when i found 13 scots escorting 60 prisoners.

And i have an old hero.
No idea if thats good or not but if needs be he'll make good fodder .

How did 13 of them hold 60 prisoners?

Its going up and down as i lose and gain men but im steadily saving up the recourses to buy a ship.

Ive got 80 acres in the main town now of 125 and ill buy it all then get a ship and an army of 60 ish men.

Can any1 tell me about naval battles?

How do they work?
Whats the normal enemy force size?
How do i find enemy ships and how many supplies should i take?

Im about to update the wiki with the current bank code. Figured i would give you guys a quick shout out - what bugs are fixed and what is actually WAD.

- Banks generate money. The money is not magically transferred to your treasury or your pocket. You have to pick it up, which is automatically done, when you go to a towns bank screen.
- The odd values are fixed. There was a wild variable, which screwed up the presentation. This did not and does not affect your game.
