Aaaaanyway, it's certainly an interesting mod. Can't say I ever took to the film as much as everyone else, but I'll definitely give this mod a try when it's released.

To be quite frank just about every fantasy/sci-fi movie you may have ever seen is based on it's "leather bound" counter part. Even Jurassic Park One, Two, and Three, had books before they were movies. My statement is quite bold considering it's not 100% for every fantasy/sci-fi movie but pretty damn close

after reading the book and watching the movie the movie i would have to say is better now the sequels

Yeah. Heinlein. A fantastic and subtle piece of social, cultural, military, technical, and political commentary that got mutilated into a travesty of itself, without even an attempt to do justice to the eyecandy / warporn potential by way of redemption. Ballistic insertion of nuclear armed power armor from orbit during space combat got reduced to a flying school bus dropping off guys with P90s. Pisses me off just thinking about it. can't even imagine how bad the sequels must be.

Wow, you really hated the movie. I actually enjoyed it but never read the book. Of course, rare is the movie that out does the book. From my limited knowledge of the book, I understand that the game Terra Nova came close to replicating the power armor. Anyways, I can't wait to see this one in action.
Yeah, I hated it, but not so much because it was bad at what it was. For a cheesy summertime blowstuffup movie it was decent and had unsuspected intellectual content (read : any at all). I hated it because it didn't begin to do justice to Starship Troopers. If they'd called it something else I'd have been ok with it, and frankly they wouldn't have had to worry about IP infringement very much. Anyway, it'd be passing cool to play a mod based on the movies, but a mod based on the book I'd trade minor body parts for.
