Gaven Teeb is a middle aged Gotal, born on Antar IV, unfornately being born with a defective left leg. He endured through lots of bullying during his younger years, and was finally given the opportunity to have his leg healed at the age of 12. After this, he quickly dealt with the bullies. They were badly injured, and he forced them to secrecy about the entire incident, but two years later, they told the authorities, and he was removed from the academy/school. His parents were put into life support after an EMP weapon hit their home during the Separatist Crisis on Antar IV. He went offworld to Corellia, but because of bad planning and lack of skills, he failed at multiple jobs, and so he finally settled for a job as a Security Guard. He needed to pay for his parent's treatment however, yet he wasn't getting enough money, so he needed a loan offered to him by a shady person, but the Loan Shark tried to kill him after missing payments.

A desperate person, with death right around the corner, he took a vibrodagger, and proceeded to sneak into the Loan Shark's building and using his cones (A Gotal feature able to be used to see energy emissions), he was able to avoid many traps and droids. He killed the Loan Shark, and returned home. A day later, a businessman came up to him and handed him 1,000 credits. Apparantly the man he killed was wanted by multiple people. So, the businessman presumed he was a professional, and proceeded to give him other jobs and opportunities. Gaven became proficient at the job, and now is able to pay for his family, while destroying others. He was recently accepted into the Mantis Syndicate.

Gaven has a grudge against the Jedi and would happily execute one if he had the chance.
Jerrin Finothin (BattleOfValmy) 说:
Growing up in Wortan wasn't the best childhood Jerrin could have asked for; left abandoned as children by his mother, Jerrin, his brother Leto and their sister Katyn had to fend for themselves in the subterranean tunnels of the long-broken city. Being the oldest, Jerrin had to watch out for his siblings, especially Leto, whose young and adventurous spirit drove him to explore every crack, crevice, hole and long-forgotten tunnel their home had to offer. Katyn was, however, easier to manage, for she was small, quiet, timid, and almost never wanted to leave Jerrin's side. Together, the three managed to eke out a meager existence, sustaining themselves on stolen credits, food, toys and the occasional handout.

Jerrin, whose inquisitive mind, always-poking and disassembling hands, easy grasp of abstracts and self-taught mathematics was always overjoyed when he got his palms on some mechanical or electronic device. Pilfered from unsuspecting people or found thrown away in the trash, these were the only bright things in his life, aside from his brother and sister. All of his free time was spent stripping down broken droids and datapads and getting them to do thing they were never intended for. If one day little Katyn was bored, he would make her a small robot whose only objective was to steal bootlaces and retrieve them back to their modest shelter, or a electronic board that would draw pictures using small, colorful lights. However, the one thing he made that his sister treasured above all things was the music box. Katyn had a beautiful soprano voice with which she would sing traditional Iridonian folk songs in the native Zabraki tongue she picked up on the street. The music box would accompany her with the melodies of her favorite songs, she would sing along with it long into the nights, drifting Jerrin and Leto to sleep.

The swoop gangs were always a problem. Their members would eye Katyn with disgusting grins on their faces, and whisper to each other whenever they passed by. Leto had the worst luck with them, and there were days where he would come back bruised and bloody, but still smiling, talking about how he'd gotten in at least one or two good punches. Jerrin usually interrogated his brother after these episodes, asking him what they looked like, where it happened, what gang they were a part of, and how badly they'd hurt him. Leto would shrug it off and say that no good could come from getting revenge. When Jerrin would try to accompany Leto when he went out, Leto would adamantly refuse him, saying he didn't want his big brother following him around making sure he was OK, and that he could take care of himself. Leto didn't know that every time he left, Katyn would cry and plead with Jerrin to follow him and not let Leto get beaten again. The few times Jerrin had tried this, Leto would always get away, being faster, more agile and smaller, allowing him to fit through the collapsed tunnels Jerrin couldn't enter.

One night Leto didn't come home. Jerrin told Katyn not to worry, that it didn't necessarily mean anything bad had happened, and that Leto was probably just staying at one of his friends' places. But then Leto didn't show up the next day, and they both began to worry even more. Late that evening Jerrin and Katyn took to the streets in search of their brother. They combed through all of his usual hangouts and hiding places, talked to his friends, even ventured into some collapsed tunnels, but they couldn't find him. Fearing the worst, they decided to enter the swoop gangs' territory. It didn't take long to find Leto, he had been left tied to one of the lamp posts, and no one had dared touch his body. Out of his chest stuck a knife with one of the local swoop gangs initials on the hilt, and what looked like the bleached skull of some mythic beast on the pommel. Katyn rushed to Leto's body and held it, weeping, while Jerrin clenched his fists and gazed with blurry eyes at the scene. They cut the bindings and carried their brother back to their home.

A few years pass, and the blow of Leto's death has softened, but Katyn and Jerrin will never forget it. Jerrin is smart, capable Zabrak of 20, and his sister a beautiful, budding flower of 16. The paternal relationship continues, but Katyn has begun to mature and seek out more independence, as much to the ire of any father or brother. Jerrin worries about her, but his employment at a small, local junkyard keeps him very busy, and wears him out, and as such he's no longer to keep as close an eye on Katyn as he would like. Jerrin's mind is also preoccupied with his obsession for the past few years: finding out who it was that killed Leto. He nearly all of his time not looking after his sister or working on this task, and it was laborious, sometimes he even thought after one obstacle was removed a new one was put in place, as if someone or something was actively trying to keep him from finding out what he wanted. Jerrin recognized that he wasn't the best slicer or tech-enthusiast ever, but he was pretty damn good, and the roadblocks he encountered truly strained and challenged his skills.

Over a few days, Jerrin finally encountered a breakthrough: a meeting with an informer in one of the dilapidated tunnels on the edge of the city. He didn't want to go unprepared, and so used most of his savings on buying a blaster and some power cells from one of the pawn shops. Jerrin had never used a blaster before, and so decided to become familiar with it; he spent the next two days until the scheduled meeting blasting plasteel bottles and gizkas in the alley behind his flat, and learning how the weapon operated. By the end of the second day, he had already made some modifications to the optical cavity and the targeting systems, and felt confident with his new toy.

aaaand, **** it. I wrote too much and can't write any more. You get the idea, though. He gets his revenge on the swoopers, they in turn take revenge on his sister by killing her, too, and with the swoopers hot on his trail, he has to leave Iridonia. After drifting around for a while pulling odd jobs, he lands a place in the Mantis Syndicate, who were looking to recruit good slicers, of which he was.
Zak Sheplin (Bgfan) 说:
Born on the outskirts of Theed, the capital of Naboo, around the time of the conflict with the Trade Federation, Zak Sheplin was raised in an area of relatively high population. His father was a senator during the time of the invasion, and is believed to have been killed during the initial occupation. Following the death of his father, he was raised by his mother in a more rural area of Naboo, and soon learned the basics of navigating unsettled areas as he explored the wilds surrounding his small home. He soon developed a passion for seeing what nature had to offer, and as such desired to be able to observe without disturbing the activity going on all around him.

It was not long before he knew every inch of the local swamps by heart, often discovering new and interesting things. As time passed he became more and more skilled at scouting about, enhancing his skills. He could soon sneak up on even the most attentive of wildlife, hide in the thinnest of cover, and spot even the subtlest of tracks. Life was simple, and the only thing that mattered to Zak was the wonders that the world has to offer, if only one could observe rather than destroy and disturb. Life went on as such until at the age of eleven his life took a drastic turn when his mother fell ill. Despite all of the modern medical advancements it was not enough, and his mother soon perished. Left without parents Zak spent the next year wondering Naboo, using the skills he had honed over the course of his childhood to survive.

It was on his 12th nameday that he happened upon Edus Sunrider, an old Republic Scout who had recently arrived on Naboo. Being a curious lad he determined to learn more of this man, as Republic Scouts were a rare thing on Naboo during Zak’s childhood. He spent the entire day observing the man, listening to the tales he told around a mug of wine, until the curiosity became an intense desire to experience what the universe had to offer, to see the wonders that this man spoke of. And so when the scout left Zak determined to follow him, it was a long walk, and Zak eventually ended up outside of the Scout's spacecraft. As the scout boarded the ship, Zak acted on an urge and snuck aboard.

Edus of course was not long in discovering the lad who had snuck aboard his craft, and after an initial moment of anger, eventually came to realize the lad had tremendous talent at stalking without being seen, and came to the conclusion that perhaps the lad would be of use to the Republic if only he were trained. It was on Coruscant that they landed, and there Zak spent the next Seven years of his life learning from his mentor Edus Sunrider the skills required of a talented Scout. However, Edus was old, and it soon became apparent that he would not last much longer, it is said that on the day he died Zak spent every moment weeping tears of anger and grief for the last person he had truly loved. Alone, and with nowhere to go, the 19 year old Zak Sheplin signed on with a Mercenary Company, and didn’t look back.
Baru Laytoni (Moss) 说:
Born on Corruscant in 37BBY, the fourth son of a bureaucratic dynasty, he bucked the family tradition by joining law enforcement rather than politics. At the age of eighteen he signed up as a recruit to the newly formed Imperial Office of Criminal Investigation and pulled himself up the promotional ladder by metaphorical tooth and claw till he was awarded command of an IOCI sector department on Nar Shadda in 10BBY.

The appointment was a mixed blessing, as although an assignment to such a position at his young age was a rare honour the moons well deserved reputation as the crime capital of the galaxy meant that it would likely be his last. It was well known that any IOCI member assigned to Nar Shaddaa either waited out their time there doing their best to be ignored by the local crime syndicates or found themselves ending their careers in a trash compactor or acid pit.

Not content to sit out the rest of his career he opened relations with the strongest of the local smuggling syndicates, trading cooperation in removing their upstart competitors and encroaching organizations from neighbouring city sectors in exchange for their help in removing petty crime and securing civil peace in the jurisdiction.

The collaboration worked well for two years, petty crime was almost eliminated even in the poorest, most run down areas of the sector, local business was thriving and the engineered cooperation between local criminal families meant less violence and infighting and greater economic stability.

However things took a turn for the worst shortly after the second anniversary of his placement when he received notification from his superior off world that he was to implement an immediate crackdown and elimination of local criminal elements. Not only was the command a ridiculous demand, the IOCI didn't possess enough manpower on the entire planet, let alone his department, but any attempt to combat the syndicates would result in a bloody and destructive war doomed to failure.

Realising that the command was therefore an intentional ploy to remove him from office, more likely than not to be replaced by some patsy intended to siphon a portion of the black market into his superiors pocket, he was left with little choice. Not being prepared to cost his men and the civilians of his jurisdiction their lives he wrote an impassioned plea to his superior to reconsider his orders. When the Imperial Security Bureau arrived the next day to take him into custody for treason and insubordination he was no where to be found, long since off-planet and on his way to a new life and identity.

Within a week the streets were once again unsafe to walk as syndicates from neighbouring city sectors stormed in and overthrew the local crime lords as the new IOCI sat back and watched.
Kosh Een (Quaillover) 说:
Kosh was born on Iridonia, but with as with most Zabrak he held a fierce independence, and had a fixation of leave his homeworld. When he became of age he left, and joined the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. During his time serving he got the reputation of being a "fixer" since his ability to either field treat wounds, and to do basic repairs on battle gear.

Though he has a bit of a dark twist to that. He has been known to deploy dark humor in the strangest of situations. He also known for giving people a middle finger if they try anyway being sarcastic or flippant while he is either treating their wounds, or fixing their things.

After the Clone Wars was over, there was no purpose left for him. Being completely left behind by the new Empire, (who denied him a military posting because of being an alien) he wandered around the galaxy until one day in a druken stupor signed up for the Mantis Syndicate. Afterwords he didn't regret that decision, it gave him focus again.
Reylan Makesa (Sushiman) 说:
Raised in a respectable household, Reylan Makesa was an average child living an average life. His childhood dreams of becoming an ace fighter pilot were smashed when, at the age of 13, the CIS captured his home world of Duros. Instilled with a burning hatred for the establishment, the CIS for their invasion, and the republic for standing and letting it happen. The formation of the Galactic Empire a year after this served only to amplify his hatred. After dropping out of school and running away from home, he joined a swoop gang, and proceeded to spend the next 7 years venting his anger on the populace. After a short stretch running from a bad debt, he spent years drifting from job to job, planet to planet, picking up his piloting skills as he went. At the age of 22, he signed on with the Mantis Syndicate as a soldier and a pilot, and is currently on the job on Corellia.

This is play by post, so unless you can't be at the computer for days at end, you probably won't miss out on much.

You should add a roster of the participants to the main post, and also maybe set a date for when we're going to start the campaign.

We'll start once I get everyone's character sheet and you all remember to write your backstories .
