No, imo that's fine. Makes hitting stuff a bit harder.

I already got some troop editor, don't know if it work with .960 though. I'll check it out when I get time and see how well the blasters work, with the original and my custom settings. But what do you want, blasters firing at a very quick rate or what? I know if it goes too fast, battles could become very quick. Guess I'll see what I can figure out by editing some weapons and units.

Rapid-fire equipment would be excellent, only make sure that it's a small clip of 10~20.
I'd do the changes to the stats myself but meh, I'm lazy.
 
Rapid fire is somewhat possible. With a firearm skill of 200, I managed to shoot about 1 shot per second which was somewhat accurate. The problem however, is that the AI can't use it, as they always shoot 1 shot, then wait 2-3 seconds before they shoot another one. So unless that is fixed, rapid fire would just make players have it easier with guns.
 
Hi I'm new here in this forum and i have played mount and blade and this mod for a while now. And I have done some changes to some of the unit in rhodok to republic, unit in swadians to empire and units in vaegirs to wookies. and i have changed some of the kings too.



 
ok, I just released a minor update.  Main changes are I liked the way the map in the Firefly mod looked and Elenmmare said it was fine to use his texture and planets for my world map.  I also switched the Quick Battles and Training to be more Star Wars specific, make some other changes like creating a stun beam ammo type, etc.

but i have an idea take away all the native factions and maybe add somthing like this:

imperial faction

rebel alliance faction

wookie faction


smugglers alliance faction: (in-game bandits)


owell just an idea hope it could be usefull.
 
This is a great mod, Right now, im creating a whole Star wars rpg using this it wont be released to anyone for I do not have permission to post it so i wont, There are imperial armies and Rebel armies everywhere, and the factions are replaced. And a bunch of other bug fixes.

thanks, glad you liked the update.  Yeah, long term it would be nice to try and switch the factions to all be Star Wars based.  I may try to play around with that concept a little bit but I don't have a lot of free time and to do it right we'd really need more models/textures for weapons, armor, aliens, spaceship, scenes, etc... Since I don't know how to model I have to work with the ones that we currently have which may mean the possible troops for each faction would be pretty limited.

I don't mind if you post it for others to download and I don't think the people that worked on the original star wars mod would mind either.  If you do post it just credit me and Grocat and the others that did the original texture/models, etc.

hey - that looks great, reminds me of one of those trade federation battleships or something?  I'm going to send you a PM because I'd love to use it as a map icon for the outposts (ie. castles) in this mod. 

Random Note:  I don't have any knowledge of modeling and only very basic texture skills.  So if people are looking to create any other models/textures for this mod I'd be most interested in a FC-20 (ie, Sith Speeder).  This would allow me to add mounted Sith to the Imperial Party that currently has mounted Stormtroopers and Scout Troopers.  Here's a picture....

Also - If we could get a few more single-person vehicles then we could potentially remove the horses from the game and then maybe change the horse sounds/animations....  I'm not sure if any of these Swoop Bikes or Landspeeders I linked below could be designed small enough so they could be used for a single troop who could attack from either side with their weapons?  Or if these examples don't work, maybe we could create some small 1-person vehicles that just have a sci-fi look so they would fit in with this mod....

Otherwise, if people have any skill with textures of modeling then any of the following would be helpful:  more armor!  Right now I'm working with the existing models/textures so I am pretty limited with the troops I can create.  I'd like to do the following:
    Jedi Padawan -> Jedi Knight -> Jedi Master (maybe Jedi Guardian or Consular also?)
    Sith Apprentice -> Sith Master -> Sith Lord
but I need some different armor to make them look different on the battlefield.  Also, I'm not sure if we could modify the exiting wookiee texture or stormtrooper/rebel commando/etc armor so I could different ranks?  I'd like to have various wookiee's, stormtroopers, rebels, imperials and especially robots & aliens on the battlefield but I need more models/textures to accomplish this.  If I switch the entire game to just use stormtrooper and rebel commando/trooper armor it might get a little booring.......  Also, more vibro-weapons would be cool, especially a vibro-spear or something like that....
 
I want to have it known that if somebody is going to take this new Star Wars Mod, and perfect it, I can write Star Wars stories.

I know nothing of modding, but if if there is a team building up, I can write dialogues, maybe do something to replace the beginning of the game with some Star Wars stuff, and/or a main storyline.


 
I installed the mod and when i played it none of the kingdoms use starwars charaters, is that soppose to happen?
