I believe for now we have only the .808 versions of weapons to change. Anyway, aren't the axes good enough?
 
I've got both the high and low poly versions of that fancy armor done now. All I need to do now is stick them together for the texture and normal maps and rig it.

ETA: Thursday, 2054.
 
has there been any new progress? I've been unable to work due to exams etc etc. will be back on work sometime in the new year, though

#pope: we have every confidence in your skills :smile: how long have been working on that thing, anyway? I remember I sat gawking for 10 minutes the first time I saw it
 
I haven't been working on anything lately, but I'll see if I can make some time and conjure up renewed interest.
 
Not as much as you think. Helms would go under the Armour category.  :wink:
 
well, point is, I don't think anyone's gonna do that at all. See how long time it has taken to get this far on the weapon pack

I think I was a bit over ambitious with it. Every so often I put a few hours into it, but my attention span just isn't up for it :sad:

Edit: this thread got me going at it again. Might actually finish it off this week.

well, there's simply too few modellers who have the time, skills and interest to make many such expansions

The only problem is that the polehammer is a blunt weapon in M&B, and there's no way those are blunt.
 
There isn't that much left on the list for this, and some of them don't seem to be used in the game anyway.

As for other projects, helmets and shields could be done if we see a dramatic increase in contributors, but armor would probably only be finished when we're too busy playing Mount & Blade 17 to care. Armor models are way more complex than weapons, plus they're limited to people who know how to rig them. Plus most of the armor in game would be better served by high res textures than new models - there's only so many polygons you can throw at mail and cloth before it's a waste of time.

Actually you could argue that the spikes on the "spiked mace" aren't blunt either. :smile:

The real purpose of the those spikes is not to penetrate but to allow the head to "grip" armour rather than just slide off.

 
What do you guys think of this for b_bastard_sword aka great sword

Suggestions? Should the blade be thinner? the taper moved towards the point?
 
I've got the normal maps working  :grin:

Still need to clean up a few anomalies on them before posting screenshots (bits of it look like they've been shotgunned), but it's working.

Talon: The blade looks good to me, I'd just suggest doing a bit more work on the grip texture. The metal extends onto the grip, which looks odd to me, the brown part it looks like a flat brown rather than wood/leather.
