How on earth do you intent to cut crops with that monstrosity you call a scythe? Or is it teh f1ght1ng scythe?
 
I uploaded a weapons pack on the repository, and it includes the weapons I made. If you want any of the others, feel free.

You couldn't fight with a regular scythe. It just wouldn't work.

I'm working on it. I've been trying to condense some of the inefficient textures. But I only get about 20 minutes a day to work on it, so the going is slow.

It's a fighting scythe. I simply altered the blade of the native one, and added a real scythe's handle instead of the straight pole used on the native one. I like to think mine is more realistic  :wink:

I typed out a list of the changes and additions, then I accidentally closed the tab as I was confirming the upload. So, you get to discover whats new on your own.
I put all textures and materials data in the weapons brf so there is only one to worry about, that should also make it immune to version updates.

Get the 4.51MB download here. I'm calling it .73 for 73% complete even though some of the models and textures are not final.
 
great! one thing, though: the model you set as fighting axe, was in fact intented for the iron axe; I have the proper fight axe model done, but i'll send it over once i've made some more models

Caught . It seemed to fit the fighting axe better, what can I say. I'll switch it back around for the next release.
 
I saw that some of the models aren't marked finished on the front page. Specifically the falchion scabbard (what I made), but also the scythe, etc.

And I just bought myself a mace......magnificent work!
 
I've been playing with this today, and it looks great. Haven't found any bugs yet, but I haven't bought all that many different weapons.
 
actually the arming sword isnt technically wrong, many swords ahd a short riccasso (blunt part) just above th guard so a swordsman could place his finger there, supposedly it helps in the handling of the sword, and in my experiences ikt does give you a smalle measure of better control especiall over stopping the sword.
 
Since you've created this set to replace the standard files, it is actually very easy to incorporate them into Native without replacing any files.

Place the *.brf files into ../Mount&Blade/Modules/Native/Resource/
Place the *.dds files into ../Mount&Blade/Modules/Native/Textures/

Open the module.ini (located in ../Mount&Blade/Modules/Native/) and change the line load_resource = weapon_meshes1 to load_mod_resource = weapon_meshes1. And that will put the new models and textures in-game in Native.

The good thing about doing it that way, is that to switch back, all you have to do is re-edit that line in the Native module.ini.
