Stamina, exhaustion and walk mode

@Hesky, that seem like a reasonable notion.

On another note I've noticed that I seem to loose the most stamina when I run back and forth, but the fighting itself seems to not drain stamina. Can someone other than me confirm this?

if you rebind zoom to say left-control then shift remains just walk with no zoom

Does that work? I thought the walking was a by-product of the zoom itself, not that the key was bound to 2 actions simultaneously

Noticed it too, if you stand still and keep swinging you can last much longer, havent tested to see if it still uses a small amount of stamina because normally it's a chaotic situation and i end up having to move my feet after a while. Also regardless of what others say i still cant see any sort of stamina bar for the life of me

Napoleonic Wars has a toggle walk key and therefore I don't see a huge obstacle with implementing it into this DLC. I'm sure this feature would be available soon once the devs become aware of the situation.

Regarding the stamina system, has anyone noticed if the athletic skill directly affects the character's endurance or is it entirely based on the penalties from heavy equipment? I know the penalties includes lowering the skill itself, but with a higher athleticism, is it possible to offset those effects on stamina?

Yes it does, and it's somewhat weird for a game to hard code a "walk" function.
I switched my zoom to left ctrl, the moment I knew that walking was just hard coded to one key and was never connected to zoom.

That's awesome and crazy, so there was a secret hard-coded 'walk' button that doesnt appear in the 'controls' menu, you still have to hold it rather than toggle but that's significantly better.

Still want them to make something a little more user-friendly for the masses to find, but for my purposes this will be all i need. Though i'll have to think about where to remap Zoom since i abuse it like crazy in conjuncture with Tild to find ranged aiming at me in multiplayer.
