Stability nightmare.

Hehe, I'm honestly loving version .702, BUT is it just me or is the M&B a lot less stable post .7xx? I just had my second complete system freeze of the day. I'm going to remake my guy without realist saves for now, too much of a pain to lose 2 hours of gameplay over and over.

i dont know... mine is working fine :???: but the only timei freeze is when i press the xp cheat too fast :???: which is very annooying wen youve got borcha up 20lvls  and it doesnt save

version 700 was very unstable, 702 is alot better, but still a few bugs. i'm still playing version 0.632 because of the good mods.

This version has just been released ... there are still a lot of bugs/glitches in it. There were many changes that were made to the game and it will take Armagan time to work them out.

It should be expected that when the game goes through a major upgrade such as the 0.700 version ... there will be several bugs that need to be worked on.

We are at 0.702 ... we were at 0.632 ... when this series gets to 0.732, you will not be experiencing this many difficulties.

I'm crashing all the time, literally I end most of my sessions with a crash  .... Compare this to .632, where it rarely ever crashed. I've now become paranoid about saving constantly, and even so I always seem to crash right after something really good has happened!

Every two or three days, the game simply closes and sends me back to desktop.
But it's relatively stable.. in realistic mode, the game autosaves everytime you leave a town or a battle, so the worst that can happen is a crash during an almost-won battle..

I had to stop playing for now. In allmost EVERY fight i get a freeze or crash. This is not good. I never had ANY kind of problems with the other versions. I hope Arma can find the problem soon. ill check tonight again to see if i get any kind of message when i crash. When i freeze obviously there is no message.....

i'm also having a stability nightmare. it's forced me to stop playing. i hate it when i take my band of 20 knights, waste a group of 60 bandits, only to have the game freeze at the end of the battle.

Glad I am not the only one. I just purchased the serial key yesterday and everytime I am done with a battle it freezes and give me an error.
Line 1411 - something in the vertexshader/src/troup.h
Expression S.
It states its an assertation error. Check you C++ documentation.

I am a programmer as well and have Visual Studio with the MSDN library, but I haven't chased it down to see if I can find out what it is referring too.
I JUST WANNA PLAY!
My wife was watching me kick butt, until it froze at the end of the battle.

This would be great if it was fixed.

Hmm, I've tried 3 different characters with realistic settings, all were crash city. With the save anytime option I haven't crashed as of yet. Perhaps its a bug with the save feature? No idea, just something I noticed.

Sorry to hear about those problems. Possibly reducing texture_size from the configuration script may help. Try making it something like
texture_size = 30

reducing, battle_size from game options may help as well.

Iwas like that with Morrowind, it crashed at least every half hour, so in the end i stopped playing.

what people dont realise and i found out was... you only crash on morrowind wen you havnt saved for a while, some say its fate but how come it ALWAYS happened after you hadnt saved for like 20mins? Point

Yeah, I am *very* glad of this, as I otherwise would have lost an hour or so of progress the other night when I crashed due to having killed off all the guys in the Camp area (not it crashes if I try to go there again).

Don't think so, coz i play in realistic mode and it still does it. It freezes mostly when the motioned pictures of the characters are shown.

I switched to realistic saves because of the frequent autosaves and seem to have just slightly more aborts, but only slightly. I switched because I keep getting too involved to remember to save. Then when I got caught, I lost bunches. Now with the realistic saves I lose very little thanks to those autosaves.
