Spouse shouldnt die in childbirth if killable companions is disabled

My spouse will apparently die in childbirth on the next kid. She has her own party so I cant even strip her of gear before she goes (gave her like 150k worth gear after taking her godly helmet). I get this maybe in the game because taleworlds wanted to prevent us from having infinite children but like... just put a stop to the childbirth instead of killing your spouse?
 
I think pregnancies should stay random but less frequent. Also death at childbirth is a nice feature imo. Probably will fit better when emergence of new nobles is implemented, which iirc one of the devs said it was planned.
 
Hmm with all due respect I don't think either you really addressed the topic... I think OP is right that a spouse (who is a companion) shouldn't be able to die if companion deaths are not enabled.. It's weird to have one mechanic that override a rule like that.
