(SPOILERS) Polish Ending. Really? REALLY?

So I played through the Polish storyline, and I rolled north through the Swedes, and I crushed the Muscovites, and I destroyed the Cossacks. I'm the King, I'm the ruler of all. Only Crimea still stands.

Next thing I know, I get a message, and apparently King Tiberius I of the Polish-Lithuanian Empire is unable to defend himself to a mere assassin's dagger.

Now, I know this story is based on a book. But I can't help but think that my character, who has forged an empire out of the disparate states of Eastern Europe, could probably defend himself against a single assassin.

As a-historical as my game has been, I don't think this is a fair ending. I may have made some enemies in my game, but at LEAST give me the chance to defend myself. I honestly don't think I've seen a worse ending since Neverwinter Nights 2, maybe beyond that.

Not really surprising, considering.  Some of the other 'story driven events' in this mod have made me loathe the heavy handed treatment.

Assassin who trained in one on one combat for his entire life is certainly more powerful than ur emporer. Just imagin the one killing u is Artemis Entreri, or  Altair or Ezio

Wait when you become Marshall does the story go past that point? What do you have to do? because i becmae marshall and I still have the quest down for "go to the king for your reward". Maybe I had a full inventory and was suppose to receive something? Like a baton?

While I agree with you that It must be those guys... (lol)

He isn't complain about how skilled the assassins is, but he complain that the game didn't give him a chance to fight back....or even an ambush scene or something like that (sniped, got attacked while he has no weapon and has to fight with bare hand etc. )  which make his ending totally suck, in my opinion.

Did the same while destroying in that order the sweden/cossack/moscovite. Had the same ending.

I cannot believe I was killed by a guy who I was standing right in front of. At the very least when I heard of this I expectd the assassin to have the decency to take me from behind. They didnt even get the dates right, it says I was killed in the year 1656 but the game ended for me 1658. The presenation was horrible and whose brains were shot out that it was decided that players could not play after they beat the game?

Stupid, stupid, stupid... It punishes you for completing the bloody storyline!

Is there a storyline ending that doesnt end up with you getting knifed?
